DISCIPLESHIP
THE JESUS OF THE BIBLE
THE GOD-MAN RETURN
“And your house and your kingdom
[King David’s] shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever” (2 Sam. 7:16).
“There shall come forth a Rod
from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall
grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the
Lord shall rest upon Him….With righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall strike the earth with the rod of
His mouth, and with the breath of His lips
He shall slay the wicked (Isa. 11:1-2 4).
“And I will pour on the house of
David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem
the Spirit of grace and supplication; then
they will look on Me whom they pierced.
Yes, they will mourn for Him as one
mourns for his only son, and grieve for
Him as one grieves for a firstborn” (Zech.
12:10).
“For as the lightning comes from
the east and flashes to the west, so also
will the coming of the Son of Man be. The
sun will be darkened, and the moon will
not give its light; the stars will fall from
heaven….Then the sign of the Son of Man
will appear in heaven, and then all the
tribes of the earth will mourn, and they
will see the Son of Man coming on the
clouds of heaven with power and great
glory” (Mt. 24:27, 29-30).
“Now I saw heaven opened, and
behold, a white horse. And He who sat on
him was called Faithful and True, and in
righteousness He judges and makes
war….And He has on His robe and on His
thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS
AND LORD OF LORDS” (Rev. 19:11,
16).
