The Air Force Balloon will be operating free-flights, weather permitting, in the morning of 17 February in Buchan and on 18 February in Omeo. This free flight is part of a community engagement tour (16-22 February), during which the Air Force Balloon is visiting communities in NE Victoria and Melbourne. During the tour, the Balloon will deliver an educational program at four schools, aimed at developing children’s understanding of aviation and science. It will also undertake free flights and tethered flight activities. The Balloon is visiting Buchan, Omeo, Pakenham, Dandenong Ranges, Bayswater and Central Melbourne.
