This is an introductory course conducted by staff members of Longwood Central Schools and invited guests
that is designed to provide new School Monitors or Teacher Aides with an overview of the school district and
an introduction to successful strategies for dealing with students in our vibrant school community. The
course also reviews the various staff roles and responsibilities of those who work within the District and the
types of school monitor/teacher aide positions available and their importance to the school community.
After successful completion of the course, a certificate will be provided indicating that the participant is
eligible for employment as a School Monitor or Teacher Aide.
