NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 6-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, a public hearing will be held on February 25, 2014. 6:30 P.M. prevailing time at Longwood High School, 100 Longwood Road, Middle Island, NY at which time and place the Board of Education of the Longwood Central School District will consider whether it should adopt a resolution which would authorize a partial real property tax exemption to certain qualified veterans residing within the District pursuant to the recently amended New York Real Property Tax Law section 458-a. The public hearing shall be held at the time and place stated herein. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 6-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, a public hearing will be held on February 25, 2014, 6:45 P.M. prevailing time at the Longwood High School, 100 Longwood Road, Middle Island, NY at which time and place the Board of Education of the Longwood Central School District will consider whether it should adopt resolutions which would: 1) increase or decrease the basic maximum real property tax exemption amounts available to certain qualified veterans residing within the District pursuant to the recently amended New York Real Property Tax Law section 458-a; 2) consider whether it should adopt a resolution which would authorize a partial real property tax exemption to gold star parents residing within the District pursuant to New York Real Property Tax Law section 458-a, and 3) consider whether it should adopt a resolution which would authorize a partial real property tax exemption to qualified veterans residing within the District who are tenant stockholders of a cooperative apartment corporation pursuant New York Real Property Tax Law section 458-a.
