In India, especially in the cities, women's day is acknowledged. The mall's and stores do a lot for women's by organizing various discounts and offers. We also celebrate this day for the social, economical and political achievements of the women. But in all this celebration and expressing love, the real purpose of this day is not served. The International Women's day is celebrated all over the th world on 8 March with a different theme every year to empower the women and to bring in notice the problems they suffer from and to eradicate them. Women across the globe play many significant roles in everyone's life. However for every role they play, there is a need of a healthy life. Like many disease Breast cancer is on the rise in India. Presently, 4% are in 20 to 30 yrs age group, 16% are in 30 to 40, 28% are in 40 to 50 age groups. So, almost 48% patients are below 50 year of age. An increasing numbers of patients are in the 25 to 40 years of age, and this definitely is a very disturbing trend. Many other deadly diseases in women go undetected as they don't consult a doctor maybe due to being shy or ashamed or because they are not concerned about it. “Last ten years or so, breast cancer has been rising steadily, and for the first time now, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in India because the risk of females getting breast cancer is 12.29 %. In India most patients turn up in later stages due to which not everyone survives long irrespective of the best treatment they may get. Awareness about how to detect breast cancer will help women in knowing about the disease at the initial stage and help them get cured faster.” said Dr. Shalin Dubey, General Consultant and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Sterling Wockhardt Hospital, Vashi. Dr Jasmin Surve, Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Kalsekar Hospital, Mumbra said, “In women, breast cancer and genital cancers are predominant cancers. For women aged 30 or older having periodic health exams, a cancer-related check-up should be mandatory. Women between 21 – 29 years of age should carry on Pap tests for cervical cancer after every 3years. During menopause instead of being shy or feeling ashamed, women should report any unexpected bleeding or spotting to their doctors.” There are a lot of muddle in the life of a woman that can hardly be understood by any men. Our appeal to women all over the world is to go out and get a health check up this Women's Day in order to have a healthy and fun filled day and to lead a healthy life without any problems. Vashi: As per the available statistics, in India, people suffer through a lot of different diseases and many die due to no proper facility or medication. Many diseases are taking root and so are the diseases related to kidney. Dehydration, less intake of water and infections to the kidney may all lead to kidney being severely damaged. More than 2 lakh people every year are falling prey to kidney failure in our country. The kidneys play key roles in body function, not only by filtering the blood and getting rid of waste products, but also by balancing the electrolyte levels in the body, controlling blood pressure, and stimulating the production of red blood cells. Kidney problems are leading to various kidney diseases and even chronic renal failure which in turn can be dangerous to life. Loose motion, vomiting and dehydration can all lead to kidney failure if neglected and not treated in time. Dr. Atul Ingale, Nephrologist at Sterling Wockhardt Hospital, Vashi said, “Normally people neglect the fact of having a serious disease and treat the condition as a normal problem. Kidney in a person can be damaged overnight and lead to acute renal failure is not treated in time. Proper medication is required for problems related to kidney. Drinking ample amount of water, having a proper diet and visiting a doctor for proper medication can help keep your kidney healthy.” Dr Smita Naram, Managing Director at Ayushakti Ayurved said, “Ayurveda generally states that following a lifestyle and diet according to your body constitution is essential for maintaining good mental and physical health. More and more people these days are opting for ayurveda as it has no side effects and a long time cure.
