WELCOME HIGHLAND VISITORS: Welcome to
our services at 8:30 and 11:00 this morning! Bible
classes meet at 9:45. Greeters are available at the
Welcome Center to provide information about the
classes that are available.
University Students: Class meets this morning
at 9:45 in Room 207. We begin with ONE, with
all of 3D Student Ministry including 6th Grade
through College Age worshiping together as one.
Our University Residents, Wade Casey and Bailey
Cate, are available to answer questions about
University Ministry activities and small groups.

The Monday Night Women’s Class: We meet in
Room 110 on Mondays from 7:00 - 9:00 pm for our
study of To Live is Christ, by Beth Moore.
Tuesday Morning Ladies’ Classes: Meet at 9:00
am for coffee and refreshments. Classes begin at
9:30 am.

~ The General class meets in Room 111.
~ The Quilters meet in Room 109.
Mothers of Preschoolers: The next MOPS
meeting will be April 13 at 9:00 am in Room 207.
Ladies In-Treat: As we are preparing for the
upcoming Ladies In-Treat on April 17 and 18,
make your plans to attend and be sure to register!
Registration begins TODAY in the Atrium.
Thinking About Lent – Special Wednesday Series
This series continues at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium
and will include the following speakers from LCU:
March 25 - Brandon Fredenburg: “Repentance:
(Re)turning to God Moment by Moment”
April 1 - Jeff Cary: “Fasting: Feasting on God with
an Empty Stomach”
LIFETEAM STARTER CLASS
Join us this Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
in Room 100 for the final lesson of this threeweek guided event. Finding a place to belong is
essential to life in a healthy faith community. Adults
in the Highland church (both new and established)
are invited to join in a friendly conversation and
inter-action, in order to form and launch new
LifeTeams.
HIP - HIGHLAND INTERGENERATIONAL
POTLUCK: MARCH 29
Following second service next Sunday, March
29, we are having a Highland Intergenerational
Potluck. Everyone is invited to join in the fellowship!

HIGHLAND CONNECTIONS LUNCH: APRIL 19
Mark your calendars and make plans now for the
next Highland Connections Lunch! This is a great
opportunity for newcomers and new members
to learn about what Highland is all about, and
share time with our shepherds and ministers. The
lunch will be served immediately following second
assembly in Room 207. Childcare is provided
across the hall in Room 208. If you are considering
Highland for your church home, or have recently
placed membership, you are invited to the
Highland Connections Lunch! If you have friends
considering Highland membership, please extend
your personal invitation!
RESTORING ABILENE
Wednesday at Freedom Fellowship: The meal
begins at 6:00, followed by praise and worship and
a class led by Paul Mathis.
Wednesday Nights at Grace: The meal begins at
6:00 pm, followed by praise time and a class on the
Gospel of Luke, led by Jen Rogers.
Taylor County Jail/Prison Volunteers: All
volunteers are invited to a General Board Meeting
on Monday, March 23, at 7:00 pm at Grace
Fellowship, 910 Cypress. For more information,

Taylor County Jail Volunteer Training: Those
interested in being approved to volunteer at the
Taylor County Jail must receive training and pass
a background check. Training is scheduled to be
held on Monday, April 13, at Grace Fellowship at
910 Cypress Street. For more information contact

Special Contribution: Please mark your
calendars for the Highland Community Ministries
Special Contribution on Sunday, April 26. Please
prayerfully consider your participation in “giving
a cup of cold water” to those in need in the
community of Abilene. This contribution is in
addition to the regular yearly budget, to effectively
administer the various ministries. Our goal
is $68,000.00 to be shared with the following
ministries...
Ministry of Care: $25,000
Christian Ministries of Abilene: $15,000
Freedom Fellowship: $15,000
Grace Fellowship: $10,000
BOBS (Breakfast On Beech Street): $ 3,000

RESTORING THE WORLD
Missions Special Offering: We are so grateful
for the way the church has responded with such
generosity towards our Missions Special. We have
received $154,700 already. Help us finish strong
and reach our goal of $185,000!
3-D MINISTRY
One: We will begin class this morning with all of
3D Student Ministry (6th Grade - College Age)
worshiping together as one in Room 207. This
time will provide an intentional opportunity for
relationships to be formed between the younger
and older students, and unity will evolve out of this
experience. After this worship time, we will split
into our three separate classes – University, High
School and Middle School.
3D Student Ministry Called Campaign:
Remember to save your money from giving up
a Coke or an iTunes download this month, and
bring your monthly pledge with you to class for our
Called Collection this morning.
The Sophomore Huddle Spring Campout is
THIS WEEKEND, March 27-28! The cost is
$25.00 per person. Applications are available in
the High School Classroom. Applications and nonrefundable payments are due TODAY.
Out to Lunch @ Wylie High School: Jeremy will
be going to Wylie HS this Wednesday, March 25,
during lunch! If you go to school at Wylie, please
look for him!
Middle School GIRLS: You are invited to join your
Muddle leaders next Sunday, March 29, for a Girls
Only Middle School Muddle. We are participating
in a service project. Meet at Highland at 3:00 pm
to load vans. You may have your parents pick you
up at 5:00 pm from Highland.
The Offering: High school students, mark your
calendars for Sunday, March 29. We will serve
and share dinner with people at Love and Care
Ministries. Please bring $5.00 for dinner. Meet
at Highland at 4:00 pm, and we will ride in vans
together. We will return to the building by 6:30 pm.
HIS KIDS MINISTRY
HIS KIDS Worship: Preschool children, ages
3-5, are invited to Room 113, off the South Foyer,
during both services. The time for children to
report for this special time is noted in the Worship
Order.
Nursery Suite: Childcare is available during both
services for babies, newborn through 30 months,
in the attended Nursery off the South Foyer. The
Mom’s Nursery and Family Room are for parents
who wish to stay with their child.
Older Two’s Childcare: Childcare for toddlers, 31
through 36 months is available in the upstairs Twos
Classroom, off the North Foyer. Changing tables
are available in the men’s and women’s restrooms
in the hall north of the Atrium.
Sunday Scribes: Bags containing a scribe pad
and crayons are provided for your children. Please
return them to the bins in the foyers after worship!
Wednesday Evening Children’s Classes meet
this Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Check at the His
Kids Information Booth in the North Foyer for the
location of classes for your children’s ages.
Palm Sunday: Next Sunday, March 29, children,
ages 2 years through 5th grade, are invited to join
in the Palm Procession. Palm branches will be
in the foyers as you enter the Auditorium. Near
the beginning of worship, as we sing, children will
wave their branch as they walk to the front. If you
have questions, please call Suzetta or Cindy at
673-5295.
