Alberta Culture and Tourism Office of the Minister MLA, Barrhead-Morinville-Westlock 229 Legislature Building Edmonton AB T5K 2B6 Dear Minister Kubinec, On behalf of the Board and Staff of the Camrose Public Library, I would like to sincerely thank you for approving our Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Project-Based application for our elevator upgrade. We are honoured that you have chosen to support the library so generously and appreciate your confidence in us to provide the community with exceptional library service. We believe that libraries and the principles of intellectual freedom and universal access to information are key components of an open and democratic society. Each year, the Camrose Public Library continues to strive for our goal of bringing literacy and the value of reading to the residents of the City of Camrose and area. As a non-profit organization, we do so by providing programs and services with little or no cost to the user and as a result of our programs, we have seen many lives change for the better. Building accessibility is, of course, an important component in providing this service. Camrose Public Library hopes to continue to make a difference in community literacy and to improve services and programs for the community’s children, young adults and seniors. With your support we will continue to see improvements in this endeavor. Again, thank you. I hope we will encounter more opportunities to work together in the future! Sincerely, Deborah Cryderman, MLIS Director, Camrose Public Library cc: Honourable Verlyn Olson, QC, MLA Wetaskiwin-Camrose Camrose Public Library Board
