THANK YOU – THANK YOU
A big thank you to Agnes Hyma in organizing Ebenezer’s part
of the strawberry & ice cream social at Fruitland CRC last
Sunday. Thank you also the whole Labrie family who
volunteered their services.
Gerald and Audrey Pieters thank everyone for their best
wishes, cards and gifts received on their 50th wedding
anniversary. It was very much appreciated.
WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT
Anne Meinen has offered to organize a dinner on July 26th for a
SPECIAL NEEDS SERVE GROUP. This Special Needs Mission
project is hosted by Fruitland CRC and Ebenezer consistory has
committed to serve the dinner for one (1) evening.
We are planning a lasagna dinner and would appreciate some
help. Anyone interested in supporting this mission by either
donating lasagna or a monetary gift toward this meal please
talk to Anne Meinen (905-563-3215). We will also need some
help with serving and clean up.
Bulletin announcements for July 26 to be sent to

Intercessory Prayer
“If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it.”
(1 Corinthians 12:26)
HOLY LAND: Tensions between Muslims and Christians have
risen since 2014, with some blaming the rise of Islamic State
and extremist ideologies. Palestinian Christians are now feeling
unsafe. In Feb, those residing in Nazareth were alarmed by the
appearance of a billboard ordering them not to spread their
faith or talk about Jesus in a way that contradicts the Quran. In
East Jerusalem, an imam posted an online video urging Muslims
to be in a constant state of war against the "polytheist enemy,"
namely Christians, and against Jews. Let us pray for God's peace
and protection to reign over all the inhabitants of the Holy Land.
Ask the Lord for believers to be strengthened and encouraged
so that they may continue to fulfill His call.
IRAQ: When IS captured the Mosul area about a year ago,
Christians were given 3 choices: 1) convert to Islam, 2) abandon
their property and leave the city, or 3) be killed. Many were
forced to flee their communities, seeking refuge and safety in
Kurdish controlled areas and neighbouring countries. These
displaced believers have lost their homes, belongings and any
hope for a future in Iraq. The majority are now living under
difficult conditions within temporary settlements and refugee
camps. Some refugees, whose family members have been
abducted by ISIS, are suffering in the uncertainty of their
missing loved ones' outcome. The remnant of believers
remaining in Iraq are in pending life-threatening danger. May
God's mercy and grace be with these people as they trust Him to
meet their daily needs.
PAKISTAN: Asia Bibi, a Christian mother and the only woman,
is on death row for blasphemy. June 19 marked the tragic 6 year
anniversary of her arrest. It began when Asia was working
alongside a Muslim extremist who refused to touch the
"unclean" water source from which the Christian mother drank.
This led to a verbal quarrel between the 2 women and
subsequent allegations that blasphemous remarks were made
by Asia against the Muslim prophet. Her current health situation
needs our urgent prayer. She is reportedly suffering from
severe physical problems. Let us pray for her physical and
spiritual healing, along with immediate safe release.
