All Pasifika Learning Centre L11 After School (KRI) The Pasifika Learning Centre is open from this Wednesday Come along after school and join a group of enthusiastic and motivated students who are aiming to do well this year. You can access peer tutoring, one on one help from subject teachers and also get Tongan language and Samoan language tutoring. The centre operates every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 5pm. See you there. Bring your lunch and French-speaking friends and become fluent with the help of Gaelle, our 2015 French Language Assistant. All Coding club jHack competition All (ANS) Calling all Minecraft addicts (or even mildly interested gamers). Interested in a competition to learn how to program your own objects in Minecraft? Come to L2 any lunchtime this week and talk to Ms Anderson, Chamithri or Geethma (IT Crowd leaders) and find out more. We need a team to be registered for the inaugural jHack competition (held at MIT Manukau on July 4th). First in first served, and initially we have 9 places available. Open to any interested person, not just Coding Club members. All Maths NZMOSA competition L7 Today 3:30 to 5pm (STL) The NZMOSA competition is on this Thursday after school. NZMOSA is a challenging free competition open to anyone who wants to try some really tough maths problems. If you are interested, email Dr Steel, msteel@apps.eggs.school.nz, and come along to L7 on Thursday by 3:30 (bring a pen). General EGGS Heritage Fund General (zHAI) This fund was established in 2006 by the Epsom Girls Grammar School Foundation to provide grants to the School, students or staff for activities and items which will benefit Epsom Girls Grammar School and its school community. These are items and activities that are not funded within the school budget and therefore contribute to maintaining high standards and opportunities for which EGGS is known. Grants from this fund are usually between $100 and $400 each. Who can apply? Any current EGGS student, staff or EGGS groups. Previous grants have been made to individual and group sport and cultural activities/items, staff professional development and facility equipment. Applications can be submitted to The EGGS Foundation three times per year.
