Please read and follow the following rules and regulations: By entering this trial, exhibitors are acknowledging that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform the exercises safely. There will be two trials on Saturday—one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with the afternoon trial starting approximately one hour after the completion of the morning trial. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing club. Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the official AKC entry form for this event. Entries not on official AKC forms or photocopies of entry forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are not acceptable. There will be a $25.00 service charge for any returned checks. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. Faxed, telegraph, telephone, email and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries will not be accepted which specifies any conditions as to their acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded for such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. A recording fee of $.50 and a $3.00 AKC event service fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. These fees are to be collected by the show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, these fees are to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2) Dogs need to be present only for scheduled judging. Consult the judging program for time of judging. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. They will adhere as closely as possible to the Judging Schedule. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when the class is to be judged. The showgiving Club and the Trial Secretary have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through the public address system, runners or stewards for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitors whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In such case, no refund of any fees will be made. Bitches in season are not permitted in the trial. Entry fees will not be refunded for bitches that come into season after the closing date. All dogs must remain on leash or kenneled unless showing in the ring. Exhibitors are to clean up, inside/outside of the building, pertaining to their dog(s). NO SMOKING inside building. NO ALCOHOL permitted on show grounds. NO FIREARMS permitted on show grounds. NO GLASS CONTAINERS of any kind are allowed in the facility. All present are asked to refrain from using audible cell phone ringers in exhibition area. No Crating by the rings, all crates to be in the designated crating area. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine PartnersSM Program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC Obedience trials at the club’s option. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THIS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION.
