Collections Specialist
Responsibilities:









Review and analyze unpaid account reports to get the required information to call
(or utilize other online search tools) the party with the overdue account to obtain correct
demographic information so that we can update the patient accounts and attempt to collect
payment on those accounts or at least be able to forward on the correct demographic to the
Company’s collections agency.
Using the telephone, or any other practical research resources (i.e. computer search tools), contact
the insurance carrier and determine whether a payment has been, or will be made and if not, the
reason for denial.
Update all related patient accounts.
Meet or exceed established production and quality standards.
Establish and maintain an accurate understanding and application of client manual information in
regard to daily assignments.
Maintain acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality as specified in company and departmental
policies.
Meet routine deadlines and work schedules as well as timely and accurate completion of special
projects and any other duties as assigned.
Understand, support, enforce and comply with company policies, procedures and Standards of
Business Ethics and Conduct.
Display a positive attitude as well as professional, polite, considerate and courteous conduct and
treatment of others in the course of duties.
Requirements:







College or Bachelor degree (may be undergraduate).
The ability to read, speak and write in the English language in a clear and concise manner.
The ability to type 40wpm and 10 key 7000 ksph.
Adequate eyesight in order to read computer monitors.
Knowledge of filing.
The ability to organize work and meet established deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Working hours: shifts during this time 10:00 – 19:00
