 Lantana Earth Day Event
Lantana residents are encouraged to stop by and participate in the
Community Cleanup/Earth Day event. The event, organized by Denton
County Fresh Water Supply districts #6 and #7, allows residents to safely
dispose of hazardous household waste and learn about planet-healthy
lifestyles and habits.
In addition to waste disposal, residents will be able to drop off bulk items,
like couches and mattresses; recycle computers, electronics and appliances;
safely dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medications; and shred
documents. Trees donated by Gold Landscaping will be given away to
residents at the event.
-The Lantana Ladies League will host earth friendly family activities.
-The Boy Scouts will be on hand to perform a clean up of the hike/bike trails.
-Local Vendors will be on hand to offer information on sustainability.
