A people yearning for freedom was granted a gift from Heaven: Mariam Baouardy, the rose of Carmel who turned suffering into hope and MarieAlfonsine who filled the East, through obedience and the Rosary prayer, with flowers. Join us and watch special programs and live broadcast from Jordan, Lebanon and Rome, within the framework of “The Marathon of Holiness”, starting from tonight. (Full Details P. 2) With the two Marys, French and Italian Saints With the aroma of holiness that will emanate from the East on Sunday as a result of the canonization of the two Palestinian Marys, Heaven will be also filled with fragrance thanks to the declaration of two other nuns as saints and they are: Jeanne Emilie de Villeneuve (1811- 1854), born in ToulouseFrance, founded the Sisters of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception of Castres serving the poor, the sick and missions in the far lands. She was beatified by Pope Benedict in 2009. 2003. Maria Cristina dell' Immacolata Concezione (1856- 1906), born in Naples- Italy, founded the Oblation Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and established a large group of monasteries of nuns, schools and orphanages.
