Tony McGrath SUNDAY 31 MAY 2015 MESSAGE FROM FATHER MICHAEL On Trinity Sunday, we celebrate our faith in the God who reveals himself to us as Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Somebody once said that the Blessed Trinity is not a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived and the way to do this is by living in love, so mirroring the inner life of God himself. I’m pleased to see the numbers that have signed up for the training days for Readers & Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Our Lady’s, Edgeley, on Wednesday & Saturday this week. I hope to be present on Saturday and I pray that the training and commissioning afterwards of our Readers and Ministers will give them a deeper appreciation of these ministries of service in the parish. May God bless all in our parish family in the week ahead. SACRED LITURGY THIS WEEK The month of June is dedicated to The Sacred Heart of Jesus. Sunday Readings: Cycle B. Weekday: Cycle 1 Psalter: Week 1 Parish Mass Book 1 Page 83 The Pope’s intentions for June: that immigrants and refugees may find welcome and respect in the countries to which they come. That the personal encounter with Jesus may arouse in many young people the desire to offer their own lives in priesthood or consecrated life. MARRIAGE MATTERS (www.twoinoneflesh.org.uk) Holy Trinity (Deuteronomy 4:32-‐34, 39-‐40 Romans 8:14-‐17 Matthew 28:16-‐20) The Blessed Trinity is an intimate love relationship Jesus summarises the commandments: love God and your neighbour. The intimacy of married love has this high calling: wholly love God and love each other, we are one another’s closest neighbour. It is said that married love most closely reveals the love relationships in the Trinity: three persons in one God, calls us to be two persons in one flesh.
