I am forever Your child, a child who longs to please You. Open my ears to hear Your call. Open my heart to respond faithfully to that vocation to which I am called to serve. Whether I be called to the religious life, the married life, or the single life, help me to live it according to Your word. I ask the Holy Spirit to give me the strength to lead a holy life, whatever my vocation is. May I lead a life of virtue, a life worthy of a disciple of the Lord. Help me to serve those in my care, like You Good Shepherd, care for me, one of Your sheep. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Reflection question: Do I ever contemplate the seriousness of my life’s vocation? Do I see the opportunities to be holy that my life’s vocation presents to me? Do I serve my calling honorably? Scripture Reflection: To be good stewards we must be good shepherds, willing to lay down our lives for those committed to our care, not mere hired hands who run off, “leaving the sheep to be snatched and scattered by the wolf.” Living Stewardship: We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who stand ready to assist their neighbors through attendance and support for community activities such as police, fire, and rescue. Let us pray that as committed stewards, we embrace the obligation to serve others. The Office of Faith Formation of the Diocese of Rockville Centre announces the 3rd Annual Women’s Conference...
