Media Synopsis:
In early February 2014, Blake, 20, of Cleveland and Poteat, 18, of Euclid, assisted the victim in
obtaining heroin, which resulted in a fatal overdose.
On July 22, 2014, Blake entered a plea of guilty to one count each of Involuntary Manslaughter,
Drug Possession and Attempted Tampering with Evidence. She was sentenced to 18 months in
prison.
On March 3, 2015, Poteat entered a plea of guilty to one count each of Involuntary Manslaughter,
Corrupting Another with Drugs, Trafficking, Having Weapons Under Disabilty and Drug Possession.
Sentencing is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
