Media Synopsis: Sander, 56, of Canton, met the 16-year-old victim through a social networking site. Sander and the victim agreed to meet face to face at a hotel in Bedford. It was there that Sander raped the victim. It was later revealed that Sander is HIV positive and was fully aware of his status at the time of the incident. On February 23, 2015, Sander entered a plea of guilty to one count of Felonious Assault. Sentencing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. 587143-14-CR Future Court Action: Sentencing 3/25/2015 Mason, Lance T.16-C General Felony Cleveland Division of Police Vasquez, Josue | Adorno, Angel Media Synopsis: On May 31, 2014, Vasquez and Adorno, both 19 of Cleveland, pistol whipped and robbed the victim of $500, a cell phone and wallet. The victim was able to remove the hat off of one of the assailants and recognized him. He was then told that if he called the police he would be killed. On February 25, 2015, Vasquez entered a plea of guilty to one count each of Burglary, Robbery and Aggravated Assault. Sentencing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Angel remains capias. Future Court Action: Printed: 3/17/2015 11:34:45 AM Sentencing 3/25/2015 Media Release Cases Page: 1 of 2 Media Release Cases 588410-14-CR Villanueva, Jose A. 20-A General Felony Cleveland Division of Police McKay, Eric Media Synopsis: On May 2, 2014, McKay, 49, of Cleveland, entered the Chase Bank at 10414 St. Clair Avenue and passed a note to the teller, which stated "No dye, no one gets hurt. $10,000.00". The teller gave him the money and then pushed the alarm as McKay exited the bank. Security photos were obtained and disseminated. A parole officer recognized McKay and alerted the FBI. The teller was then able to identify him in a photo array. McKay was questioned and admitted that he robbed the bank because he needed the money. The $10,000.00 is still missing. On February 25, 2015, McKay entered a plea of guilty to one count each of Robbery and Grand Theft. Sentencing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. 591617-14-CR Future Court Action: Sentencing 3/25/2015 Fuerst, Nancy A. 15-B Major Trial Middleburg Heights Police Department Byrnes, Nicholas I. Media Synopsis: Charges: On November 22, 2014, Byrnes, 36, of Middleburg Heights, drove his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and hit a boulder and crashed into a tree.
