Living and working with children with Autism and/or exhibiting Sensory Processing Disorders can be rewarding, but it’s also very
challenging! After speaking to audiences all over the country for the past three years for Summit Professional Education, I have
met some amazing therapists, teachers and parents who say they have learned so much from my previous workshops. However,
I have to admit, I’ve been so inspired by them and have a passion to share even more information with this new workshop that
can help those of you who are living in the trenches. At almost every one of my seminars, I’ve had someone come up at the end
of the day and tell me how motivated they are to try new things, do things differently, educate others, revive activities they’d
forgotten, work more with their own children and even start a new career!
I’ve learned from my audiences that although there is value in understanding autism and sensory issues, what people need the
most help with is learning how to manage the apparent unmanageable behaviors that get in the way of learning, progressing and
relationships. As a result, I have spent the past year researching new resources, building on tried and true strategies and refining
more ways to equip you with the best tactics to impact children with difficult behaviors.
At this new workshop, we are going to have a chance to understand the foundations of sensory processing and autism, how we
can impact arousal, how our attitude influences behavior and most importantly for our day – have fun!
As the publisher of S.I. Focus magazine, I have the unique opportunity to be made aware of many new resources available to our
community of special needs. I will be sharing commercially-available and free resources that can give you an edge. The goal of
this new workshop is not to give you survival techniques—you deserve more than just surviving. I want to help you thrive and feel

About Your Program Instructor
Kathleen Morris, MS, CCC-SLP, is a nationally recognized SLP, a member of ASHA and an Associate member of the AOTA with
more than 30 years experience in public schools and private practice settings. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency
from ASHA. Ms. Morris established the first sensory integration clinic in Dallas to address and educate people regarding sensory
issues and later opened a second clinic. She founded the Pediatric Network Foundation establishing the first and only preschool
in Dallas for children with sensory issues. Ms. Morris is the founder/publisher of S.I. Focus magazine, the only magazine dedicated
to sensory integration, with readers in 17 countries. She served as the President of the Pediatric Network Foundation and sits on
the Advisory Board of the National Autism Association.

Ms. Morris has presented workshops on child development and sensory integration for 30 years. She has volunteered in
orphanages helping to establish an understanding of how children are at risk for sensory and attachment issues when living with
deprivation. Ms. Morris spent five years directing the creation of a sensory motor room in the Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg,
Russia. She now speaks to adoptive families regularly and her article on sensory integration was recently published in Adoption
Today in the United Kingdom. Kathleen initiated the National Sensory Awareness campaign, known as Come to Your Senses
which takes place during the month of October each year with volunteers across the US and Canada.

pre-approval upon request on your behalf. Save your course outline and certificate of completion, and contact
your own board or organization for specific filing requirements.

SATISFACTORY COMPLETION
Participants must pay tuition fee, sign in, attend the entire seminar, complete an evaluation and sign out in order
to receive a certificate of completion. Participants not fulfilling these requirements will not receive a certificate.
Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire workshop. No exceptions will be made.
Partial credit is not available.
