The voice of aged care.
Be inspired and explore the new world. The LASA NSW-ACT Congress 2016 runs over
two days, with a full program and gala dinner on the first day followed by another
full day of inspirational speakers on the next and final day.
Presented by leading age care experts, each session will share fresh insights and innovative
practices. You will leave with an armful of strategies, tips and tools for your workplace.
Keynote Speaker
Congress Facilitator
LASA NSW-ACT again welcomes
Martin Grunstein as Congress facilitator.
Martin stands out as a facilitator and presenter
who genuinely customises his connection to
his audience via industry insights.
Most importantly of all, Martin stimulates
participants to take action rather than just
feel temporary motivation.
With an incredible energy and attention
to accuracy and detail in everything he
does, Martin has the ability to think on his feet and keep audiences
engaged and motivated.
Martin will seamlessly lead the two days of Congress while building a warm
and witty connection between the presenters and delegates. We welcome
Martin to Congress.
Inspirational speaker – Emma Gee
Emma Gee is one of Australia’s
acclaimed inspirational speakers,
offering her thoughts and solutions
on person-centred care and resilience.
With a background in occupational therapy and
as a stroke survivor, Emma is a renowned expert
and a living example of what it takes to step in
another’s shoes and truly bounce back in life.
Learning to speak again post-stroke, and
realising the importance of sharing her story
to help others, were the catalysts for Emma
taking on speaking professionally.
Emma is passionate about enhancing person-centred service delivery
and resilience in the lives of all she works with and promises to leave
her audiences inspired to bounce back and step up. Emma Gee’s signature
phrase “that it’s not what happens to you that matters, it’s how you choose
to deal with it!” will see her audiences moving past life’s hurdles to
what’s possible.
Writer, actor and now author,
Magda Szubanski is an Australian
television and comedic legend.
As keynote speaker at Congress, Magda will
add sharp analysis, inject energy and enliven
the proceedings with her unique humour.
Magda is probably most famous for the ABC
TV sitcom Kath & Kim, widely acknowledged
to be the most successful comedy in Australian
television history.
She is internationally acclaimed for her role in
the Academy Award and Golden Globe winning
Babe and its sequel Babe: Pig in the City.
Magda has twice been named the Most
Popular Person on Television and she has been
acknowledged with an extraordinary seven
Logies, three Australian Writers’ Guild Awards,
two People’s Choice Awards and an Australian
Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Actress.
An experienced keynote speaker, we look
forward to welcoming Magda to Congress 2016.
