Exalted Ruler’s Message
Patriotism is such an integral part
of being an Elk. We are, as Elks,
passionate in helping people show
their pride in being American
citizens. We do this by presenting
flags, giving children a copy of the
Pledge of Allegiance, by posting calendars showing when
and how to fly our flag and by promoting Americanism
through essay contests with cash awards. Let’s all
display our flag proudly so we can teach our children and
grandchildren why it is so important to be a loyal
American.
March 2016
Finally, our Lodge has incurred an unplanned major
expense of $37,000.00. We are being required to close
our septic tanks and connect to the public sewer system.
As your humble beggar, I am asking the membership to
consider a $50.00 pledge to pay for this expense. This
will be purely voluntary and is not considered an
assessment.
Thank you all for your support. I am so very grateful to
provide leadership to the best Lodge in Florida. Our
members are second to none in following our principals of
Charity, Justice, Fidelity and Brotherly Love.
Fraternally Yours, Stephen 'Steve' Cicak, Exalted Ruler

Hello Everyone - As my time comes close to an end as the Lodge
Secretary, I wanted to thank everyone who helped me with my Secretarial
duties and also wanted to thank all those who have volunteered their time,
monies, ideas, muscles and just good old fun to the many community
service projects we did this year. I hope that we can be just as active next
year if not more so!
I wanted to remind everyone that it is that time of year again to pay your
membership dues. If you have not received a statement make sure you call
Barbara in the Office and let her know and make sure we have your correct
mailing address. You can pay your dues in one of 4 ways – by mail, in the
office (Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm), at the bar (make sure your full
name is on the receipt) or at one of the 2 monthly meetings. Once you pay
your dues your card will be processed and mailed out. If you don’t want
your card mailed make sure we know that you want it held.
The book drive for the Children’s Advocacy Center was a huge success!
We collected over 300 books to donate. These books will mean a lot to
those who may be suffering.
