Macaron Scoop of the Hill is delighted to offer a diverse selection of macaron flavors, including both classic flavors and contemporary combinations. A beloved French pastry, macarons are the perfect size for an afternoon espresso break, a meeting power snack at the office, or a sweet finish to an evening meal. An assortment of colorful macarons makes an elegant, edible garnish for a dinner party, bridal shower, or birthday party, and adds an upscale touch to even the most casual get-togethers. Making authentic French macarons requires extraordinary precision and skill— as well as very specific conditions that few pastry chefs are able to replicate. We are thrilled to bring DC macarons that are made with the precision and attention to detail the French culinary gurus are known for, but that are enlivened by the local flavors available to us here. Trois Chocolat Three types of chocolate (dark, milk, and white) and cream added to our signature almond flour base. Green Tea Matcha green tea extract, white chocolate, and cream added to our signature almond flour base. Passion Fruit Passion fruit purée, pasoa, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and cream added to our signature almond flour base. Lime-Ginger Lime purée, crystallized ginger, white chocolate, and honey added to our signature almond flour base. Pistachio Pistachio paste, roasted pistachio, butter, and confectioner’s sugar added to our signature almond flour base. Raspberry Raspberry purée, white chocolate, and cream added to our signature almond flour base. Fleur de Sel Caramel Sea salt, butter, sugar, and cream added to our signature almond flour base. Specutella Specutella features a playful duo of Nutella and Speculoos - two of the all-time favorite European flavors in one. Red Velvet Lime purée, butter, and cream added to our signature almond flour base. Gelato Similar to ice cream, but with a superior smooth texture and significantly lower butterfat, gelato is loved the world over—and for good reason. Scoop of the Hill owns special FDA-approved churning machines designed to optimize each batch’s air content, giving our gelato the same soft, creamy texture you’ll find in Italy. Additionally, the lower air content and slower churning process yield more flavorful product, to be served at higher temperatures. Our gelato-manufacturing process allows for artisanal small-batch production on demand, with no more than a week of storage time. Though our gelato is made using traditional methods, our novel flavors are inspired by our international travel and research, the fresh, seasonal produce available to us, and most importantly our customers’ feedback. As a result, our premium gelato comes in a range of unique delicious flavors, continually evolving and can be customized to cater to your desires S o r b eto 6 flavors All sorbeto flavors are water based, containing less than 1% fat content. They are made from locally sourced fresh seasonal frutis and berries and the recipes have been optimized to contain less sugar than the indsutry standards. We use the highest quality hormone-and additive-free milk and Kosher certified high quality ingredients. Our recipies ara optimized to containt less sugar than the industry standards. A rare delicacy, macaron-glacé is only offered by a few high-end, boutique pastry shops around the world. We are proud to be one of them. Madeleine Madeleines are small, shell-shaped sponge cakes originating from northeastern France and cooked in a traditional molded pan. Made in accordance with traditional methods, these weightless cakes are perfect for morning breakfast or a midday coffee break. Our madeleines are currently available in three flavors: plain, chocolate, and pistachio. Amandine Crafted from a base of almond flour and confectioner’s sugar and available in plain, pistachio, and chocolate, our amandines are ideal for a morning breakfast or a midday coffee break. Cannel∫ de Bordeaux A classic French specialty dessert, our canelés de Bordeux are fluted cakes filled with rum and vanilla, and enclosed by a crisp, carmelized shell. These decadent delights are made from a base of milk and eggs and heavily imbued with vanilla. Parmesan Shortbread Perfect paired with happy hour drinks or as a light snack, our parmesan shortbreads provide a savory alternative to Scoop of the Hill’s pastry and gelato offerings. We currently offer four flavors: plain, Kalamata black olive, sun-dried tomato, and Provençale herbs. Macaron-Gelato Cake For fans of Scoop of the Hill gelato and our macarons, we bring you the best of both worlds: macaron-glacé, a Scoop of the Hill specialty. The macaron-glacé is a European take on American ice cream cake: a macaron shell filled with freshly churned gelato. We offer our macaronglacé desserts in multiple flavors and colors and can easily customize them to special events. Gluten- and lactose-free flavors are available, making them a great option for large parties with a range of dietary restrictions.
