ADEFA APPOINTED ITS NEW MANAGEMENT César Ramírez Rojas, President of Scania, was elected President of the Association, joined by Aníbal Borderes (Toyota) as Vice President and Dominique Maciet (Renault) as Secretary Mr. César Luis Ramírez Rojas, President of Scania Argentina S.A., has been unanimously elected to chair the Automobile Manufacturers Association (ADEFA) for a one-year period together with Mr. Aníbal Borderes (President of Toyota Argentina S.A.) as Vice President and Mr. Dominique Maciet (President and General Director of Renault Argentina SA) as Secretary. This was established during ADEFA’s Annual Meeting held today Monday, October 19, after the new Board of Directors was formed, being its members the Presidents of the Affiliated Companies: Messrs. Cristiano Rattazzi (Fiat Auto Argentina S.A.), Enrique Alemañy (Ford Argentina S.C.A.), Edgar Lourençon (General Motors de Argentina S.R.L.), Natale Rigano (Iveco Argentina S.A.), Matthias Barth (Mercedes-Benz Argentina S.A.), Osvaldo Baños (PSA Peugeot Citroën Argentina S.A.), and Viktor Klima (Volkswagen Argentina S.A.). César Luis Ramírez Rojas Born in Mexico on March 22, 1954, Mr. César Luis Ramírez Rojas is married and has two children. He obtained his University degree in Economics in 1976 at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and his Master of Arts in Economics and Ph. D. in Economics at Chicago University in 1979 and 1982 respectively. Between 1975 and 1977 he worked as Research Assistant at the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies; in 1979 he was consultant of the Director of Economic Studies at Banco Mexicano Somex, and in 1980 he was advisor of the Revenue Policy Director of the Department of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico. From 1982 to 1986 he worked as an economist for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay and he was economist of the Department of Economic Research of the International Monetary Fund. Between 1990 and 1998 he was Director of Banco Crédito Argentino S.A. after being Director of Structure Resources (Organization, Human Resources and Systems) from 1988 to 1990. He also held the position of Economy and Planning Manager of the financial entity in the period 1987-88. He was in charge of Tecno Acción S.A. between 1991 and 2003, and since 1992 he is the President of Nusoft S.A.. Since 2004 he is Director of Scania Argentina and in 2005 he was appointed President of the company. Since that year he is also the Director of Scania Latin America. Until his current designation as President of ADEFA, Mr. Ramírez Rojas was the Vice President of the Association. César Luis Ramírez Rojas, President of Scania Argentina, new president of ADEFA. Academic Activity In 1978 he received the National Award in Economics for his thesis on “Expectations of devaluation and demand of money in Mexico 1947-1976” granted by Banco Nacional de México (Banamex), and in 1987 he was speaker at the “Currency Substitution in Latin America” Conference held in La Paz, Bolivia as well as at the “Symposium of Economics” organized by the Banco Central de Uruguay, in Montevideo the same year.
