Transfers will be permitted in accordance with Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 16.
Bitches in Season are not permitted to compete in obedience trials. The club will refund the entry fee for
bitches in season unable to compete for that reason.
Rally will begin at 3 p.m., followed by Obedience
Novice Class: For boys and girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time
entries close, have not won three first places with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member
show.
Open Class: For boys and girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time
entries close, have won three first places with competition present in a Novice Junior Showmanship Class at a
licensed or member show.
Master Class: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of
the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the
Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC
Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master
Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time
frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.
Junior Handlers must include their AKC Junior Handler Number on each entry. You may obtain your junior
identification number by calling the AKC at (919) 233-9767. Be sure all information for Junior classes is entered on
the front and back of the entry form.
Bitches in season are not eligible. At Specialty shows, dog must be of the breed for which the show is held.

All entries in the Puppy Sweepstakes must be entered in one or more of the regular classes at the regular entry
fee. All entries in the Puppy Sweepstakes must be made at the same time that the regular class entries are made,
and on the same entry form. Entry fee for the Puppy Sweepstakes is $10.00

Sweepstakes prize money will be divided as follows:
The prize money shall consist of the sweepstakes entry fee less thirty percent (25%) to help defray expenses. All
sweepstakes prize money to be paid in cash. Any unused sweepstakes entry fee money will be returned to the
club. Sweepstakes monies will be rounded off to the nearest dollar. The sweepstakes entry fee shall be distributed
in the following manner:
1st place - 40%; 2nd place - 30%; 3rd place - 20%, 4th place - 10%
Note: Effective March 1, 1992: The American Kennel Club allows spayed bitches and castrated dogs to be shown
in the Veterans Class at Independent Specialty Shows, and are eligible for competition in Best of Breed
Competition. Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.

**Do not** send entries requiring a signature upon delivery. The secretary is not
responsible for an entry received after the show closes due to a signature requirement.
I have found that no mail gets to me in one day, regardless of where it is mailed
from. Please plan accordingly and enter early.
Telegraph, telephone and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on an official AKC entry form and
photocopies of entry forms without agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form are NOT
ACCEPTABLE. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made via
email as soon as practicable. Please include legible e-mail address on your entry form.
Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30 collection fee to the
amount of each returned check. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, or
excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. No refunds
for bitches in season. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the show giving
club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refunds will be made. Effective January 1, 2008 Event
Service Fees on all AKC events will be $3 for the first entry and $3 for each additional entry in addition to the $.50
recording fee for the first entry of each dog in Obedience. (American Kennel Club Rules, Chapter 11, Section 2.)
Dogs entered in the Parade MAY NOT be entered in another class in the Sunday shows. A Rosette
imprinted with the dog's name will be awarded to each entrant. Entry form must state "Parade of
Veterans & Titleholders." Entry form and fees must be received by the shows closing date.
VETERANS: All Dachshunds, 7 years of age and older. The purpose is to celebrate the older
Veteran dogs. Entrants in the Veterans Parade need not hold any AKC titles.
TITLEHOLDERS: All Dachshunds with an AKC Title in Breed, Field, Obedience, Rally, Tracking,
Agility and/or Earthdog events.
Please submit a separate paper with the dogs name and titles clearly printed or typewritten as you
would like them printed on the award. Please also include a brief biography for your dog, no more
than 125 words. These will be included in the catalog. There will also be a table display. Please
bring a photo for display - please no larger than 8 x 10.

Do not email or fax your credit card numbers to us. Entry forms may be scanned and emailed to
clantyre.showsec@gmail.com, or mailed to the address above. Official AKC entry forms must be
used and both sides must be transmitted.
Payment can be made through the Clantyre Website. Credit card entries will include a $2.50 fee for
each entry. If you prefer to be invoiced, please include that in your email and an invoice will be sent
as soon as practicable. Payments and Entry Forms must be received by closing, so please plan
accordingly. $2.50 fee is non-refundable.

Show Secretary listed in the premium, please be aware of their terms,
additional charges and delivery policies.

Guidelines:
1.Photos: Ideal photos are in JPEG format, 200 dpi or higher. Do not send photos attached to Word documents or
in PDF format.
Lodging
2.Text should be sent in a simple MS Word or text document.
3.Pre-formatted Ads: 5.5 x 8, 200 dpi or higher. These may be sent in .pdf, jpg or .psd format.
4.Do not send scanned copies of previous ads; they do not reproduce well.

No set-ups within 10 feet of the ring. All set-ups must be removed at the conclusion of the
show.
Owners and handlers will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around crating
area.
Dogs under 4 months of age are not permitted on the show grounds of AKC Licensed
Events.
Dogs need to be at the show only at the scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately
thereafter unless required for further judging. The judge is not required to wait for dogs. It is
the responsibility of the owner or handler to have the dog at ringside when required and
without being called.
All persons are responsible for picking up after their dogs. Anyone not picking up after their
dog will be asked to leave the show grounds. There will be no smoking inside the building.
Please dispose of trash in the proper manner.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of
internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate
vaccinations. Proof of Rabies Vaccination is recommended.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES. The MWDC and DCA
reserve the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle or crate, and all
persons attending this show hereby waive any claim for damages against MWDC or DCA or
their members, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from
overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.
Exhibitors providing email addresses will receive all communication, including confirmation
and judging schedule through email. Please ensure that communications from
clantyre@gmail.com can be received. We do not respond to spam-blocking technologies.

It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children.
Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or
disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such
case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The host club, Clantyre Show Secretary Services and its agents,
employees, etc. will assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers,
or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

I certify that I am the actual owner of the dog, or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owner whose name I have entered
above. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel
Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry
form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for
cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs.
In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to
win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers,
agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this
event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or
thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally
assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harml ess from
any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify,
defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the
liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time
resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising
out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused,
and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other person. I (we) agree that the determination of whether the injury is
serious shall be made by the event veterinarian and is binding on me (us).
I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY,
EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE
STATED IN THIS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND
EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record
and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from
the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then,
in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time the entries for a show closed. If a registered
dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after

is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to
Chapter 11, Section 3).
