Learn and practice the Chamorro language, even if it’s just one word or a phrase each day. Chagi Chamorro! 2. Dust off that Chamorro history book you have or go online to Guampedia to remind yourself about the journey that lead us to where we are today. 3. Learn something about each of the visiting countries, their location, history, cultural nuances and cultural practices. 4. Do you know an artist or cultural practitioner? Encourage them to get involved. 9/13/15 15 10 simple ways: 5. If you are a member of a club or organization, talk to your groups about volunteering to be a part of the festivities. 6. We live on a beautiful island and we all need to do our part. Clean your yard, plant a tree, get rid of those old boxes, and be proud! 7. Join the many businesses and organizations that have made the Hafa Adai Pledge to bring that our culture into the workplace…make the commitment to bring it into your home. 9/13/15 16 10 simple ways: 8. Take pride in our diversity and all the things that represent who we are today our history, our culture, our traditions and our hospitality. It’s who we are and what makes us so unique. 9.
