How can I encourage my employees
to help?
10 simple ways:
1.  Learn and practice the Chamorro
language, even if it’s just one word or a
phrase each day. Chagi Chamorro!
2.  Dust off that Chamorro history book you
have or go online to Guampedia to
remind yourself about the journey that
lead us to where we are today.
3.  Learn something about each of the
visiting countries, their location, history,
cultural nuances and cultural practices.
4.  Do you know an artist or cultural
practitioner? Encourage them to get
involved.
9/13/15 15 10 simple ways:
5.  If you are a member of a club or
organization, talk to your groups about
volunteering to be a part of the
festivities.
6.  We live on a beautiful island and we all
need to do our part. Clean your yard,
plant a tree, get rid of those old boxes,
and be proud!
7.  Join the many businesses and
organizations that have made the Hafa
Adai Pledge to bring that our culture into
the workplace…make the commitment
to bring it into your home.
9/13/15 16 10 simple ways:
8.  Take pride in our diversity and all the
things that represent who we are today our history, our culture, our traditions
and our hospitality. It’s who we are and
what makes us so unique.
9.  Practice and live the Hafa Adai spirit
every day. It is who we are.
9/13/15 17 AND FINALLY:
10.  Everyone should constantly talk
about the Festival so when 2016
comes around, we will have built up
the excitement, the momentum and
the curiosity.
