As all our newly arrived campers jumped into their program activities, MKN also hosted a pair of events yesterday. MKN’s Upper Senior soccer team defeated the team from Kutsher’s Sports Academy 6-2 in morning action, and the Cheyennes hosted a baseball tournament for teams from Crane Lake, Greylock, Taconic, and Pontiac. Ten of our Lower Senior campers also spent the day hiking to the summit of Monument Mountain on an Outdoor Adventure day trip. After dinner, one of our famous Berkshire rainstorms kept the evening activities indoors – but after a long day, everyone was happy to relax with board games & a trivia challenge in Kruger Lodge, and a bit of basketball in the fieldhouse. Today is the annual MKN Swim Carnival, so tune in again tomorrow for the results… what’s going on outside of camp?
