At the press conference on the same day, the ten SHOOTING STARS will be introduced on stage and will be available for interviews. Members of the jury will also be present, as well as the Chinese ambassador for SHOOTING STARS, the film star Annie Yi, introduced by the main partner TESIRO. The film will hit European cinemas this spring. Jakub has recently been working on Jacek Borcuch’s latest feature LASTING MOMENTS (working title) and will soon graduate from the National Theatre Academy of his native Cracow. Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Irland Antonia already has an impressive number of films under her belt. Her performance in Jane Campion’s BRIGHT STAR lead to international attention. More recently a lead role in Rebecca Daly’s thriller THE OTHER SIDE OF SLEEP earned her a Best Actress nomination at this year’s Irish Film and Television Awards. She can also be seen this spring in Rodrigo Garcia’s, Golden Globe nominated, ALBERT NOBBS alongside Glenn Close. Anna Maria Mühe, Germany After her celebrated appearances in Achim von Börries’ LOVE IN THOUGHTS and NOVEMBER CHILD by Christian Schwochow, Anna Maria took a role in Julie Delpy’s German-French production THE COUNTESS. She will soon be seen on big screen in Christian Schwochow’s CRACKS IN THE SHELL and has recently finished working on FLY AWAY by Bernd Böhlich opposite Robert Stadlober. Truly one to watch. Adèle Haenel, France Adèle already has a remarkable credit list with her three last films selected for Cannes 2011, one of which includes HEAT WAVE by JeanJacques Jauffret. She is currently appearing in HOUSE OF TOLERANCE by Bertrand Bonello, a performance that won her a share in the Best Upcoming Actress Award at the Prix Lumière and a prenomination for Best Upcoming Actress at the Césars 2012. Isabella Ragonese, Italy Isabella made her film acting debut in Emanuele Crialese’s GOLDEN DOOR in 2006 and was seen at the Venice Film Festival 2010 in Giorgia Cecere’s THE FIRST ASSIGNMENT. Isabella has since worked on a number of projects showcasing her outstanding talent. Her role in Daniele Luchetti’s OUR LIFE, released across Europe in 2011, brought her a Best Actress nomination at the Italian David de Donatello awards 2011. Bill Skarsgård, Sweden Bill is already one of Sweden’s most recognized stars. European audiences saw him last in Andreas Öhman’s Oscar-shortlisted SIMPLE SIMON. He has subsequently had a lead role in Lisa Ohlin’s critically acclaimed SIMON AND THE OAKS. This year’s 2012 Berlinale’s Generation 14plus sees him in Ella Lemhagen’s THE CROWN JEWELS. Bill has recently wrapped filming on Joe Wright’s new adaptation of ANNA KARENINA alongside Keira Knightley. Hilmar Gudjónsson, Iceland 2011 saw Hilmar secure his first lead role in Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurdsson’s dramatic comedy EITHER WAY, a film that took the top prize at the 29th Turin Film Festival/Italy and is competing for the Best Nordic Film at the Göteborg International Film Festival 2012. Hilmar has recently appeared on stage at the Reykjavik City Theater, with Fanny and Alexander and will be seen in Red from autumn on. Ana Ularu, Romania Ana has already worked on more than 20 short and feature films, including Francis Ford Coppola’s YOUTH WITHOUT YOUTH. Her much anticipated portrayal of Matilda in Bogdan Apetri’s OUTBOUND can be seen in various European countries soon. Her latest projects include Daniele Vicari’s DIAZ - DON’T CLEAN UP THIS BLOOD, screening in the Berlinale Panorama Special and Anca Damian’s A VERY UNSETTLED SUMMER. Riz Ahmed, United Kingdom Riz already has an exciting filmography making him one of the UK’s hottest young actors. A leading role in critically acclaimed THE ROAD TO GUANTANAMO brought him to everyone’s attention, and starring in Chris Morris’ FOUR LIONS got him two Best Actor nominations. He is soon be appearing alongside Freida Pinto in Michael Winterbottom’s TRISHNA and Jean-Jacques Annaud’s BLACK GOLD, both released early 2012. Max Hubacher, Switzerland 18-year-old Max made his film acting debut in 2009 as one of the leads in Michael Schaerer’s cancer drama, STATIONSPIRATEN. He followed this last year with the title role in Markus Imboden’s current Swiss box-office success THE FOSTER BOY opposite Katja Riemann and Stefan Kurt.
