Cynthia's Fine Fabrics is a full service sewing center and fine fabrics
store that offers the best in home sewing in all of South Florida.
Cynthia opened the store on September 7, 2001 to meet the needs of
the home sewing and custom clothier market in south Florida. In addition to "fine fabrics", patterns and notions, Cynthia sells high quality
sewing machines and embroidery software and supplies. As an avid
educator, she and her staff offer a variety of sewing instruction. The
customer service is exceptional.

Cynthia has over 30 years of sewing experience. She currently holds a
Masters degree in Home Economics Education and has been certified
by the Home Sewing Association, Palmer Pletsch and Jenny Haskins to
teach their many sewing courses. In addition, she has taught at the Art
Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Pfaff International Dealer Convention and
Johnson and Wales University in Miami since opening the store. She
has also been the recipient of the Pfaff Emerald Award from 2003-2007
and in 2012 was made a member the Pfaff President's Club.
Always an innovator, Cynthia attends a variety of business and training
seminars annually, which include the annual conventions of Pfaff sewing machines, and Baby Lock sewing machines. She also regularly attends the Houston Quilt Market and The International Textile Show. She is constantly sharing
any new found information with her customers
through her classes, clubs, newsletter SEW FINE and emails. At Cynthia’s Fine Fabrics we

French flowermaking is an age-old process of creating beautiful
flowers from specialized tools and fabrics. Each heated tool is used
to shape fabric petals, leaves, and stems, as well as the textures
associated with each flower part. Learn the secrets to prepping and
stabilizing fabrics, cutting, shaping and assembly of each flower
part. You will be making 2-3 flowers using the radius head, rattail,
spoon, hammer, and knife tools included in your kit. Patterns for 3
flowers, stamens and wire will be used along with natural fabric
choices - silk, linen, rayon, bamboo, and lightweight woolen - to

To mimic the traditional Hawaiian quilting look using FAST FUSING APPLIQUE methods students will complete
a 17 inch Hawaiian design block; machine applique methods will be
used after fusing the precut design to the background square. No hand

Jeans" with snowflakes and crystals. You'll learn how to open the
leg of your jeans or slacks, add interfacing, correctly place the
embroidery design and embroider. Then you'll sew the leg
closed. It's a wonderful look for winter and especially at Christmas time. So don't let - not having snow in south Florida - stop
you from embroidering it and going crazy with crystals. A girl can
never have too much Bling. After this class you'll be able to embroider other beautiful designs on your plain jeans and turn them

make a quick easy tote bag with lining and a pocket to hold your
phone. The tote bag pattern comes with other appliqué designs
but I will give you my "Love My Shoes" design that has 2 embroidered shoes and 3 satin appliqué shoes. Take this class and
you'll receive my second "Shoes" designs. This design has 12
shoes. Use it on another tote bag or with another project. You'll
learn how to add Swarovski crystals to bling up your shoes. Get
