Born in Inverness, Scotland in 1981,

...and they completely missed each other.
Cassie moved to New York in 2007 and they met in 2009, went to prom in 2010, started
dating, decided to get hitched in 2013.

We have two suggestions where we have block booked rooms, they are a short walk
from each other and there will be a shuttle bus to and from each to the
ceremony/reception.

The Hotel du Pont is a lovely hotel with a rather fabulous lobby. The rooms are spacious
and come with a King sized bed as well as a sofa that can fold out to a bed. Handicapped
accessible rooms are also available which have walk in showers and grab handles. Free
wifi but valet parking is extra.
$159 per night under by specifing it is for the Kirk/Patrick wedding, you have to phone
them to use our rate.

The Sheraton Suites are 2 blocks (3-4 minutes walk) from the Hotel du Pont and has
very nice rooms. Cassie and I have stayed in all the downtown hotels over the years and
the Sheraton and the du Pont are our favourites. The Sheraton rooms are all suites and
have a King sized bed and a sofa that can fold out to a bed also, the difference over the
du Pont is that there is a door between the bedroom and the living room which has the
sofa. Wifi and parking are extra.

Ceremony & Reception
Venue
Our ceremony will begin at 6PM at Brantwyn Estate, we will run a shuttle from the Hotel
du Pont around 5.15PM. The short ceremony will be outdoors on the lawn unless it rains
in which case it will be inside.

From the North, Philadelphia:
Merge onto I-95S toward I-476/Delaware (Crossing into Delaware). Merge onto Concord
Pike/US 202 N via exit 8B toward West Chester. Turn left onto Powder Mill Rd/SR-141.
Stay straight to go onto Children’s Drive where you will reach a dead end at Rockland Rd
(the AI DuPont Children’s Hospital will be directly in front of you.) Turn right onto
Rockland Rd. Brantwyn Estate will be approximately one mile on your left.
From the South:
Take I-95 N to Concord Pike/US 202 N via exit 8 toward West Chester. Turn left onto

From West Chester, PA
Travel South on Wilmington West Chester Pike/US-202. Continue to follow US-202 S
(Crossing into Delaware). Turn right onto Mt Lebanon Road (Boston Market will be on
your right). Take the 2nd left onto Black Gates Rd. Black Gates Rd will dead end at
Rockland Road. Turn right onto Rockland Rd and Brantwyn Estate will be on your left.
Parking
There is ample free parking at the Brantwyn Estate. Parking is available at our hotels,
we'll list the hotel's prices once we've got them.
Shuttle
There will be a shuttle to and from the Hotel Du Pont and Brantwyn Estate where the
ceremony and reception will be held.
Dress Code
Formal attire, gents in suits rather than tuxedos.
Travel
Flying
The nearest airports are:
Wilmington-Ne w Castle ( I LG)
Just three miles from downtown Wilmington but has very limited service via Frontier
Airlines from Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago Midway, Tampa, Orlando, and Ft Myers.
There are no direct international flights although you could change in Atlanta coming
from Europe but if you do so you'll have to go through immigration in Atlanta and go
through checkin/security again - rather painful.
Ne w ark Ne w Je rse y/Ne w York ( EWR)
Further out than Philadelphia but has a direct train connection to downtown
Wilmington via Amtrak for $95-110.
Philade lphia I nte rnational Airport ( PHL)
The nearest major airport. You can take two trains to get from the airport to downtown
Wilmington; first the local SEPTA system to 30th St Station in Philadelphia, and then
Amtrak to Wilmington, Delaware. Taxis are also available direct from PHL to
Wilmington and cost around $53 - $64.
Balitmore /Washington I nte rnational ( BWI )
Further out than Philadelphia but has a direct train connection to downtown
Wilmington via Amtrak for $30-69. Internationally flights serve Toronto only, not
Europe.
