The play will run February 15, 16, 22 &23 for 6:15 dinner, 7:30 show and February 24 for 12:15 dinner and
1:30 show. This is the third and final production of
the 2012-2013 season. Watch our website’s community calendar for the 2013-2014 schedule in early
summer!

We didn’t move much dirt that day but what dirt we did move was very significant. It represented the start of an important business expansion and a
major investment in our community. As Chairman of the New Prague
Economic Development Authority, I was very happy to participate in the
recent groundbreaking ceremony hosted by Chart Inc. As Sam Thomas the
CEO of Chart Inc. told me, the New Prague operation is
very important to the company. The decision to expand
in New Prague was in recognition of the talents of the
New Prague employees and the efforts of an economic
development team which included members from the City
staff, the EDA, Scott County and the State of Minnesota.
Increasing local jobs and our tax base were important motivators to encourage Chart Inc. to expand here versus somewhere else. They had many locations
to choose from. Our city and school tax base is heavily dependent
on homeowners. As a result it has been a focus of the EDA to help
reduce this burden by encouraging the growth of industrial and commercial properties in the New Prague area. So we are excited for what
this expansion means for Chart and the future of our local New Prague
economy.

Positive Ideas and Information for our Customers
Is the economy finally coming back? There seem to be some reasons to be
optimistic: housing starts nationally have increased and there are new homes
being built in the New Prague area, unemployment rate has improved ever
so slightly and Chart plans on adding 80 or more jobs locally, and consumer
confidence is at a five year high. We close a lot of real estate loans at our
bank so we often hear comments about the amount of property taxes. How
can you help our local economy and help keep your property taxes in check?
Support local small businesses and help them succeed. As a Community
Bank and a local business, we know the value of supporting business locally. Successful small businesses provide employment, economic vitality and
pay taxes. All of which help to keep your property taxes down.

that will be performed at Hilltop Hall in Montgomery.
The play follows the romance of Betsy and Michael,
bright, ambitious young downtowners who meet at a
play and experience instant, overwhelming chemistry. We will not only watch the romantic heroes
interact, but their thoughts are revealed as well…
their insecurities, fears, and also dreams about relationships. We track the relationship from first meeting to first phone call to first date to first kiss to
falling in love to moving in together to problems and
the horror of "routine" to marriage proposal to
breakup. Moose Mating will make you think twice

State Bank of New Prague is having a very good year. We continue to have
good growth in new accounts and banking relationships. We have enhanced
online banking and bill pay services, implemented new services like mobile
banking and drivers license renewals, and had another record year in real
estate financing. We appreciate our successes even though we wish that the
economy would rebound more quickly. Our success has been built on the
dedicated work of our employees and the support of our customers and
community. I am grateful for our banking relationship and thank you for your
referrals and being our customer.
