BLUE ARMY ROSARY
The Blue Army
Rosary group meets every Monday night in
church to pray the rosary. The meeting time
has changed to 5:00 p.m. All are welcomed to
join us as we pray to Mary our Mother.

is a year-long process and no registrations will
be taken after Sunday, August 21.
FIRST COMMUNION
St. Pius X Church is
now accepting applications for children wishing
to make their First Communion in the spring of
2017. We will begin on Thursday, September
22, 2016 with a mandatory parent meeting. At
least one parent must attend this meeting.
There will be one more parent meeting in January which is also mandatory. Besides what the
children will learn as part of their religious instruction at St. Pius School and PSR program,
there will also be preparation taking place in the
home for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. At these meetings you will be receiving the
materials needed for sacramental preparation
at home. Registration can be done online on
the St. Pius X website, www.stpiusxchurch.net.
A calendar of events can also be found on the
church website. A copy of the child’s baptism
certificate is required regardless of where the
baptism took place.
ONE EIGHT: CONFIRMATION JOURNEY
2016-2017 Confirmation is open to all eligible
eleventh grade students and those with special
circumstances. Public and private non-Catholic
school students must have been attending the
Life Teen program throughout their high school
years in order to be eligible for the sacrament
of Confirmation. The registration form for Confirmation can found on the parish website,
www.stpiusxchurch.net. A copy of the candidate’s baptismal certificate must accompany
the registration form. No registrations will be
accepted without a copy of the baptismal certificate unless the candidate was baptized here at
St. Pius X Church. Sacramental preparation

While it is permitted to park in the Rayne State
Bank parking lot while attending Mass on the
weekend, a car must be parked in a designated
parking space. Cars cannot be parked in the
drive thru lanes or the lane that gives access to
the ATM machine. Any car parked in any place

Our Confirmation Application is on our website. If you are going to be a Junior this year,
and you would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, please complete the application on our website. Once you’ve done so, you will receive an email instructing you on
