Her name is Miss Naughty Brownie, and her specialty is a signature, baked-to-order brownie square that layers a chocolate chip cookie dough base with an Oreo cookie and tops it with a decadent, fudgy brownie. And that’s just for starters. There are 12 varieties of naughty brownie goodness, including the pepperminty “Ho Ho Ho,” the “Yin and Yang,” which adds a layer of salted caramel, and a loaded-up square called the “Junk N’ The Trunk” filled with Heath chunks, Kit Kat, Reese’s and M&M candies. Each ribbon-wrapped gift box includes five of Miss Naughty Brownie’s bestsellers, or customize a box filled with a mix of your own. $25, www.missnaughtybrownie .com. Years later, she began bottling her own, calling it Hot-N-Sweet Pepper Relish for her and creating a little side business called the LoneStar Pepper Co. Her husband, David Mistler, created a spicy green sauce, which their son named Dave’s Hot Damn It’s Good Sauce. “You can marinate with it or put it on wings or in a bloody mary,” Monique explains. “It’s earned its name.” They make a lot of corporate baskets during the holiday season, Monique adds, and fulfill custom orders year-round.
