New long term substitute
We would like to introduce you to Susan Scanell, our long-term
substitute for middle school math this fall while Mrs. Rule is on
maternity leave. Ms. Scanell has 26 years of teaching experience
and has recently retired from her position in Topeka. She taught
pre-algebra, algebra and geometry, making her a perfect fit for our
middle school Saints. Ms. Scanell is excited to join us during Mrs.
Rule's absence. Please make her feel welcome when you see
her!
MISSION STATEMENT: “With Christ as our teacher, the Corpus Christi Catholic community will prepare students
academically, socially and spiritually to be lifelong learners in a faith-filled environment.”

ITBS Testing
ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) testing for 3rd and 5th grades will begin the
week of September 16th and continue through September 27th. It’s important
that students are here to take the test. Please try and not schedule any
appointments before 2:00pm during these weeks. Please also make sure your
child has a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast, so they are at their best
during testing times. Third and Fifth grade will be testing in the mornings from
Sept. 17th-20th and the 24th through 27th. Thanks for your support.
Math and Reading Labs
Math,
Reading
and
SuccessMaker labs have begun.
This is a great opportunity for
your child to get extra help in
math,
reading
or
on
SuccessMaker after school. Your child’s
teacher will contact you if they think your child
should attend. If you have any concerns,
please contact your child’s teacher.
Labs will operate after school on Tuesday and
Thursday from 3:30-4:00. Afterwards, the
teachers will walk the students to the flag pole
for pick up. If your child is staying in the
extended care program, we will see that they
get there.
This is a time for your child
to receive individual or
small group instruction in
these subjects. We hope
that you will take advantage
of this program.
