The entire assembly moved into the spirit of this special time of prayer, fasting and sharing of our goods with people in need. A skit by members of the Liturgical Corps reminded us to focus on the person of Jesus and not on the gifts he gives. As each person was signed with the cross of ashes, she was reminded to “Take up her cross and follow Jesus.” We hope you and your family will continue to focus on Lent’s significance during this beautiful season in the life of the church. The school will be open next week while students are on spring break. Our grades seven to 12 Theology teachers will be in Anaheim for the Religious Education Conference. We are happy they have this opportunity because they often take the back seat for professional development in light of the pressing demands of other departments. Upon returning to school, the remaining weeks of school are quite hectic.
