Minor algae growing on Bladderwort. Action Required: Treat within 7 days Target: Sub-surface algae Management Summary Ponds requiring attention within 7 days: Pond #5 - Chara and Surface Algae Routine maintenance needed for the following targets: Pond #1 - Shoreline and Littoral weeds Pond #3 - Surface Algae, Shoreline weeds, Chara Pond #4 - Surface Algae Water levels are up around the entire site in comparison to last month, which is helping to decrease algae coverage. Bladderwort coverage on Pond #5 visually appears to have increased between August and September. This may be due to the decrease in lily coverage on the pond. No Triploid Grass Carp were observed during the inspection this month. However, more time is needed to see efficacy of carp stocking for the reduction of Bladderwort coverage. Reduction for Spatterdock coverage on Pond #4 was discussed during this month's CDD meeting. Once temperatures cool, and algae growth slows, coverage of Spatterdock to be maintained to specific percent coverage of surface water will be discussed. This month's mitigation visit targeted Brazilian Pepper, Torpedograss, and vines. The next scheduled visit is in November.
