Short description of the project: Europe faces a real problem: an ageing population. One of the major challenges of the twenty-first century will be to meet the increased demand for health care. Health systems will have to adapt to the needs of an ageing population, while ensuring their sustainability in a society where the labor force is decreasing. The main objective will be to promote a healthy and active lifestyle for older Europeans. The Lisbon European Council (March 2000) clearly advocated establishment of lifelong training programs geared towards the elderly people. The community recommendations to support politics and actions were held guaranteeing a proactive and comprehensive approach to the problem of ageing people. It aims not only to extend the working life of older workers, but also to keep older people active. 2012 "European Year of Active Ageing". This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. The objectives of the project: To compare and share tools, training content for seniors at European level and collectively; To equip aging people with knowledge, skills and practices to enable them to develop and maintain an active behavior in society; To develop training content for the elderly to stimulate useful behavior for monitoring the health of the body; To develop a specific training kit used by the elderly; To promote the involvement of older people in specific training programs This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
