Presenter: Ingle Insurance - Stephanie Hiltz
ROOM 136
Despite recent world events, we continue to travel and promote intercultural
exchanges as a way of highlighting the beauty of the world and the importance
of internationalism as a tool of peace promotion. In this way we are a part of
the solution to terrorism; we are not allowing fear to prevent us from travelling,
learning about other cultures, and experiencing the world. However, it is still
important to increase our awareness around care practices, and question how to
better protect ourselves, our loved ones and those under our supervision. In this
presentation, we will briefly talk about the socio-political state of our world, while
expanding on its impact on preparation for international travel. We will share
knowledge on practical tools that can help everyone stay current, aware, and
ready to make decisions that will ensure their safety.
E1: Preparing Students for Success in a Globalized
and Digital World
Presenter:Carleton University’s Global Academy - Diana MacKay
ROOM 123
Globalization and the digital age are transforming the world of work. Today’s teachers

overview of the imperative for Canada’s classrooms to adapt to and harness opportunities for innovation in education and to challenges the barriers to action.

the things that puzzle them, and celebrating their differences. This presentation
will make clear why the International Certificate Program considers hosting as
