Individuals, families and children in our community are at risk of going
hungry 365 days a year. While some of those we support are homeless,
many others have encountered devastating circumstances and are
struggling to get through some incredibly difficult times. The 219%
increase in children’s dinners alone reflects the growing need that we
require your help to relieve.
New Horizons for NH is proud of the results we’ve achieved in the last
year with the help and generosity of people just like you.

Build your legacy with us
“Providing a better future for the generation after you.”
For nearly forty years, New Horizons has served the hungry and
homeless in our community and is a leading advocate to provide
food and shelter for this population.
A donation to New Horizons through a planned giving option provides
you with peace of mind that your legacy will be fulfilled as our dedication
and commitment will continue.
We are ready to work with you to develop a gift plan that works best for you and your
philanthropic plans. There are many ways to give that benefit you and can help you to
address a variety of personal financial goals. When you are ready, please contact me
at (603) 668-1877 x130 or nancy.comai@newhorizonsfornh.org.
Nancy Comai, Development Director
Angie’s
Shelter For Women
I thank you all for your support
, kindness,
patience, and most of all for liste
ning. My goal
when entering Angie’s was to be mys
elf again
and be heard and I certainly accompli
shed that!
I have a special spot in my heart
for each
of you, you all gave a piece of your
self
that I will cherish forever.
Angie’s provides a safe haven for women who face various
challenges and who are committed to change.
New Horizons operates Angie’s Shelter for Women at full capacity
with a waiting list. Of 96 clients served in 2011, 43 moved
on successfully.
Case Management & Health Services
Residents are required to meet with a case manager within three days of arriving at New Horizons.
It is our goal to work with them to help them find the strength and skills to move on to self-sufficiency.
From October 2011 through June 2012, New Horizons has directly assisted 21 homeless veterans into permanent,
transitional or institutional housing. We have filled 8% of the state’s need for housing homeless veterans.
Poor health and risky behaviors contribute to homelessness and are exacerbated by prolonged periods of housing
instability. Last year, the Mobile Community Health team treated 1,189 people!
