SECRETARY’S REPORT: The May 8 minutes were read by secretary Linda McCanna. Darlene moved and Carol B. seconded that the minutes be accepted as read. Motion carried. TREASURER’S REPORT: Cindy gave the treasurer’s report. There is mon- ey in the checking and savings accounts. everyone of the materials needed for the Bag Class at Quilting Bee on Wednesday, June 18 from 12:00 to 3:00. CORRESPONDENCE: Katha is still very sick at home and not taking visitors. Care notes are welcome. OTHER REPORTS: Raffle Quilt 2014 Joy is also home and welcomes visitors. Cards are also welcome. The quilt made it’s official debut at the Chewelah Quilt Show where we sold $298 worth of raffle tickets. Way to go, Darlene! Sharon thanked the committee who worked on the Cabin Fever Hall. It was very nice. OLD BUSINESS: Indigo said that it is up and running. Just Google it! (The site is fantastic!) NEW BUSINESS Charity Quilts – Sunshine Chairperson – wondered if the guild would be willing to organize the quilt walk throughout Chewelah. Karen Ellett moved and Darlene seconded that we not sponsor the Quilt Walk. Motion carried. Freezer Paper Quilting Class – Mary Ann asked how many would be interested in this class, taught by Carol Corder. It would be in the fall. Carol charges $30 per person with a minimum of 10 people. The guild would pay part of the cost, and each interested member would pay the balance. Phyllis moved that we talk to Carol for more information. The motion was seconded and passed. This month’s collection of secret sister surprises were shared. These included: birdhouses, fat quarters, stained glass angel hanging, Teddy bear and his own quilt, completed blocks, firecracker and Americana fabrics, a little book, a pincushion, a comic quilt panel, chocolates, a folding caddy, quilt cards, book box with FQs, flowers, garden gloves, greeting cards and rubber stamps.
