Please use the buzzer at Entrance #6. CONFIRMATION: Due to time and expense, we do not send confirmations when classes are going as scheduled. Assume your registration is confirmed and the class will meet as scheduled if you have submitted your registration form and fees. You will only be notified if a class is filled or cancelled. PRE-REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is of utmost importance. Lack of registrations will cause the class to be cancelled one week prior to the beginning. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: If school is cancelled due to bad weather, all buildings will be closed and all PACE offerings that same evening will be cancelled. If school is in session, generally, evening programs will run. Instructors may cancel at their discretion and let you know otherwise. REFUND POLICY: If, after pre-registering, it is necessary for you to cancel, notify the PACE Office no less than one week before the beginning of class, your fee, minus a $5.00 cancellation fee, will be refunded. Not attending a class or camp you registered for does not qualify you for a refund. NON-SUFFICIENT-FUND CHECK POLICY: A fee of $35 will be added to the amount of the NSF check, and full reimbursement must be paid in cash, to the PACE Office, prior to attending the selection. SUMMER SCHOOL 2014! All Summer School class lists, descriptions and the online registration information was sent home with district elementary students in their Take-Home Folders. That handbook is also available online at: www.pulaskipace.org Look for Summer School on the homepage. Online registration opened to the public Wednesday, April 2 at 5:00pm and closes on Monday, April 23 at 4:00pm. Anyone needing help to register may stop at PACE on April 2 from 5-8pm or during school hours, after that. We have over 400 classes to choose from, as well as the Red Raider Rec program, along with transportation and lunch options. Classes are available for children entering the PEEP 4K program through students entering their senior year of high school. We will again be offering High School Phy. Ed. for credit; pre-registration required through the PHS Student Services Office. We are also offering some classes as recovery for failed classes, some as Enrichment, and AP Prep at the high school level. We will be attending the Green Bay Bullfrogs game on Monday, June 30. We will be offering at least three Day Trips this summer; we also hope to include a trip to Joannes Water Park in Green Bay. Monday, April 21 EASTER BRUNCH We are trying something different this year, we will be celebrating Easter with a brunch at St. John Church at 910 S. St. Augustine Street. Join us at10:30am for some entertainment and Easter activities with the brunch starting at 11:00am. Suggested donation of $4 per person. Reservations must be made prior to April 14 by calling 822-6050 or email dkschneider@pulaskischools.org. The first 100 RSVP’s will be accepted. Wednesday, May 28...Travel south with us along the lakeshore to Sheboygan. We’ll have breakfast, a light lunch and supper between stops at a Sculpture Garden, Kohler Arts Center, and Lakeshore Technical College Culinary Arts Restaurant. Wear walking shoes and bring your appetite. Leaving St. John—Pulaski parking lot at 7:30am, returning about 8pm. Registration required with PACE. Cost is $120 Must have 40 paid registrants by April 30 to run this trip. Wednesday, July 23…Mandatory for Men, but Women are Welcome too. We will be touring Apple Creek Whitetail Ranch near Gillett in the morning (hunters be prepared...you will see some actual 30 point bucks) then we will travel to Doc’s Harley Davidson of Shawano County for a man-size meal and an afternoon touring the facilities there. Finally, we end our visit with a stop at “Custard’s Last Stand” for ice cream desserts before heading home. Leaving Glenbrook School—downtown Pulaski parking lot at 7:30am and returning about 5pm. Cost is $49 and we must have 40 paid registrations by July 1 to run this trip. Wednesday, September 10...Third Annual Amish Tour with sweet rolls and coffee and lunch in Amish Homes, stopping at Amish farms, stores, businesses, and their school for a visit. We will also point out the Shawano County Barn Quilts along the way. Sign up early, as this trip has sold out every year. Leaving St. John—Pulaski parking lot at 8:30am, returning about 5pm. Registration required with PACE; must have 40 paid registrants by August 18 to run this trip. Cost is $50 Wednesday, October 8...Wine and Dine Door County…Starting our day with sweets and coffee in Carlsville, then on to our first winery and orchard before stopping for lunch. Lunch in Fish Creek. After lunch, we’ll stop at our second winery and enjoy cheese and chocolates with our wine. Then, a quick stop for some shopping in route to supper (Family style Irish fare) at an Irish Pub; drink a dark ale if you dare, after all you are wining and dining. Fall colors, wineries and meals included. Leaving St. John—Pulaski parking lot at 7:30am, returning about 8:30pm. Registration required with PACE; must have 40 paid registrants by Sept. 12 to run this trip. Cost is $115 Wednesday, December 17...Progressive Christmas Tour. Tour a variety of area churches to view their Christmas decor. We will be eating a meal along the way, in bits and pieces, and may be treated to some entertainment as well. Stops may include: Pulaski, Bonduel, Angelica, Seymour or Shawano, ending with dessert at St. John Lutheran in Pulaski. Some locations will have several steps and a good deal of slow paced walking is required to see everything. Leaving St. John—Pulaski parking lot at 8:00am, returning about 4pm for the St. John visit.. Registration required with PACE; must have 40 paid registrants by Nov. 14 to run this trip. Cost is $51 4 PACE-SETTERS We’re trying something big and beautiful! Join us for a trip to Central Europe; includes Poland, Czech Repbublic, Hungary and Germany – 15 days – 16 with travel - this fall. Still plenty of time to save up. Travel with friends from Pulaski and Brown County and tour guides. Itinerary and trip information will be shared by a Globus representative at the Pulaski Senior Center in January. The date and time will be announced on the PSC and PACE websites. Meals included are: Central Europe buffet breakfasts 15 days from Frankfurt to Frankfurt & 5 dinners. We will work on socializing puppies and teaching basic commands. There is a lot of time for discussion in the classes on every issue a puppy can have. Manners class is for dogs over the age of 6 months. Both newly adopted dogs from the shelter and dogs that need a brush up on their manners are welcome! If you think you have an aggressive dog, please contact the instructor before signing up for the class. Intermediate Manners is for the more advanced dog who has already completed a Beginning Manners Class. We will work on heeling off leash, recall with distance and distractions, and sit and down stay adding time and distance. Please bring your dog in on a 6-8 foot leash (No flexi-leads), along with any harnesses or collars you use for walking/training. Bring soft treats (No dog food or milk bones). Proof of current vaccinations (Rabies, distemper, and bordatella). These are the three vaccinations dog’s must have to participate in the classes. and current Vet’s name and address will be required prior to the first day of class. The family is encouraged to come! Wisconsin State temps test is taken in the classroom phase however, the temps must be picked up at a DMV Service Center. Classes may be cancelled if the minimum of 6 students is not met. Students in this class learn techniques as well as safety and emergency procedures. All students are required to do homework and attend all sessions in order to complete the class. Each participant who successfully completes this program will receive a Certificate of Completion which may be picked up at the PACE office at 132 Front St. between 8-5 on school days.
