Recreational swim is every Tuesday from
12:00-4:00 at the Carmel Valley Community
Swimming Pool. Children must be six years
or older and entering first grade to attend.
Children need to wear a swimsuit and bring
a towel. Please follow all field trip sign-up
procedures and payment policies.

Young Scientists
Registration
CDC's Summer Program at Carmel Creek is designed for children
entering kindergarten through third grade in the fall. Children must
be registered with CDC to attend. Registration packets are
available at the CDC office or at your school's CDC room. There is
a non-refundable registration fee of $75.00 for new students and a
$25.00 re-registration fee for current CDC students.
Tuition
During the summer you only pay for the days you use. The cost is
$28.00 for up to six hours of care per day or $36.00 for over six
hours of care per day. You will receive a monthly statement at the
beginning of the month via email for the days your child came the
previous month. Payments can be made on site, online at Tuition
Express, or mailed to the CDC office.
Hours
Summer hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

June 18 for Staff Inservice Day
July 4 in observation of Independence Day
August 20-24 for Staff Inservice Days
Staff
CDC teachers are carefully screened and trained to meet the needs
of all children. All staff have a minimum of twelve units in the child
development or elementary education fields and are background
checked, certified in first-aid and CPR, and emergency procedures.
CDC provides positive male and female leadership.
Lunches & Snacks
Please send a non-perishable lunch for your child every day. CDC
provides milk at lunch as well as a morning and afternoon snack.
CDC offers a pizza lunch every Friday for $5.00. Pizza lunch
includes two pieces of pizza, fresh fruit, salad or veggie sticks, and
milk, Please sign up in advance no later than 6:00 pm the day
before. Cash only.
Kinder Club
From June 27-July 22, during the month of the Solana Beach
Enrichment Program, all incoming kindergarteners will be together
from 12:00-2:30 while participating in all the fun CDC activities.
Kinders enrolled in the Enrichment Program will be picked up from
their classroom. Please note, kindergarteners are not eligible for
off-campus field trips and swim trips.
Club 4.5.6
Club 4.5.6 is for children who have completed third through sixth
grade. Club 4.5.6 is held at Solana Pacific. Children attending the
Summer Enrichment Program will be walked to Solana Pacific
CDC. See the Club 4.5.6 summer brochure for additional
information.
A Material World
June 19-22
Closed Monday, June 18
Surround yourself in a material world. Discover a
variety of fabulous fabric art including designing your
own t-shirt. Build and play in a fort made with sheets.
Create a square for our community quilt. Walk the
catwalk in our first ever Wacky Fashion Show. The first
two weeks of camp we will be collecting gently used
clothes and blankets for our buddy schools in South
East San Diego.

Nickelodeon Days
June 25-29
We will be living in a pineapple under the sea with
Spongebob Square Pants. Exploring the Orient with Po
from Kung Fu Panda. Discover the four elements of
earth with Ang and Katara. Join us for a week of Nick,
Nick, Nick, Nickelodeon.

Space Camp
July 2-6
Closed Wednesday, July 4
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast off! This week we'll travel into outer
space, launch rockets, travel to galaxies far far away,
play with space sand, and eat like an astronaut!

Shh...It's a Surprise!
July 9-13
It's surprise after surprise this week as we pull out lots
of old and new kid favorites! We'd love to tell you all the
exciting things planned, but then we would ruin the
surprise!

Put on your lab coat and take out your magnifying glass
as you enter the CDC mad science lab. It's a week of
zany potions, goos, and experiments. Discover and
explore the world of science.

Animal Planet
July 23-27
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Grab your
binoculars and join us for an animal adventure as we
discover our furry, feathery, and scaly friends of the
animal planet. Wild Wonders visits Friday at 10:00.

Summer Olympics
July 30-August 3
Get into the spirit of the Olympic games! From the
Greek beginning with decathalon races to today's track
and field event. We'll start the week with a parade of
nations, passing the Olympic torch. And compete for the
Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals in the CDC Summer
Olympic games. Let the games begin!

Camp Survivor
August 6-10
Outwit, Outplay, Outlast! Endure physical and mental
challenges including the Gross Food Challenge! Learn
basic first aid, how to use a compass, and set up a tent.
Sing camp songs, cook outdoors, and be a successful
team player!
