A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU The musical production crew delivered another spectacular Broadway production when the students performed Hairspray Junior. While the audience watched this play about the changing attitudes toward integration in 1960’s Baltimore, few people were aware that another moving event was happening on stage: the inclusion of special needs students in the performance. Mr. Permenter, a director who believes in positioning students to reach seemingly unattainable goals, never questioned whether these students would be able to sing the parts or stand in the correct positions, and the whole cast embraced his attitude. For this, the students, their families, and their teachers thank him and everyone else who helped to make these students’ debut performances a success! 8TH GRADE FAREWELL The Eighth Grade Farewell Celebration Ceremony will be held at Pikesville Middle School on June 16 for eighth grade students and their families. This outdoor ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Doran (adoran@bcps.org ) or Mrs. Cain (gcain@bcps.org). If you would like to volunteer for 8th grade events, contact Mrs. Flaks (sherriblayne@yahoo.com).
