A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU
The musical production crew delivered another spectacular Broadway production when the students performed Hairspray Junior.
While the audience watched this play about the changing attitudes
toward integration in 1960’s Baltimore, few people were aware
that another moving event was happening on stage: the inclusion
of special needs students in the performance. Mr. Permenter, a
director who believes in positioning students to reach seemingly
unattainable goals, never questioned whether these students would
be able to sing the parts or stand in the correct positions, and the
whole cast embraced his attitude. For this, the students, their families, and their teachers thank him and everyone else who helped to
make these students’ debut performances a success!
8TH GRADE FAREWELL
The Eighth Grade Farewell Celebration Ceremony will
be held at Pikesville Middle School on June 16 for
eighth grade students and their families. This outdoor
ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Doran (adoran@bcps.org ) or
Mrs. Cain (gcain@bcps.org).
If you would like to volunteer for 8th grade events, contact Mrs. Flaks (sherriblayne@yahoo.com).
FOURTH QUARTER REPORT CARDS AND SCHOOL OBLIGATIONS
Fourth quarter report cards will be mailed to students’ homes at the conclusion of the
school year. It is important for students to return all school materials and clear any financial obligations prior to the end of the school year. Any student with an account balance
will need to clear the balance prior to receiving his/her final report card.
BACK TO SCHOOL MAILING
The first week of August, all families will receive a mailing with information for
the 2015—2016 school year. Students’ homeroom numbers and bus stop numbers will be printed on the mailing label. Students will r epor t to the homer oom
number printed on the mailing label the first day of school, Monday, August 24th.
Students will receive their schedules during homeroom class on the first day of
school. Updated bus stop lists and information about Back to School Nights will
also be included in the summer mailing. Please notify the guidance office if your
address has changed.
