SPRING 2013 Greater Boston Area Massachusetts Youth Pride, May 18 Massachusetts Youth Pride is a one-day annual festival dedicated to celebrating LGBT youth in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The day ends with the BAGLY Prom. bostonpride.org/youthpride Put a Spring in Your Step Massachusetts destinations will put a spring in your step this season with memorable vacations for the whole family. Boston, the Berkshires and beyond are easy to reach destinations from Canada. Air Canada operates 17 flights daily into Boston from Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax and Montreal, and Porter Airlines whisks travelers to Boston seven times per day from Toronto’s downtown airport. Massachusetts is easily accessible by car; from Montreal just five hours (496 km) and from Toronto approximately eight hours (883 km). Boston Pride Week, May 31 – June 9 Boston’s Pride Week is a ten-day event centered around the Pride Parade and Festival. The week includes a kickoff party, several night club events, a human rights and education discussion and a block party. bostonpride.org/prideweek Cape Cod and the Islands Carnival 2013 (Provincetown), August 18 – 24 With the theme this year being Viva Las Vegas, Carnival, one of the most popular LGBT events in Massachusetts, promises to be quite the party. His love of the ocean and passion for sailing have continued to grow through his entire life. atlantic-charters.com Nicole Freedman—Director of the Boston Bikes Program When it comes to bikes, this former Olympic cyclist means business. As the director of the Boston Bikes Program, Freedman is in charge of things like bicycle safety and education, and of infrastructure improvements for the city.
