Aromacore has been developed by the CPL Research and
Development Team to offer our customers true fragrance
encapsulation, which can be applied to a wide range of products.
Specifically, in fabric care use, new Aromacore cleverly allows
CPL to deliver a longer lasting fragrance performance experience
and allows users to enjoy our fragrances for more than 90 days
after application during laundry use.
By using Aromacore encapsulated fragrance, CPL clients
will benefit from the dramatic competitive commercial advantage
of longer lasting fragrances.

Aromacore encapsulation technology is the clever process of locking a
fragrance within a protective outer wall, which may be broken later by
specific pressure, in order to release the fragrance aroma at the core.
Encapsulation technology was originally developed using gelatin for
the ink trade and later taken up by the flavour and fragrance industries
for use in chewing gum, bath capsules and in fragrance marketing.
Minute droplets of CPL fragrance suspended in water are emulsified
in a condensation and phase separation process by changing the
pH values. The outer capsule wall forms around the fragrance and
then hardens to lock-in the aroma.
Aromacore uses the very latest technology with melamine and
aminoplast resin to create stable capsules with a high fragrance
loading capacity. Our new Aromacore capsules are extremely
substantive to fabrics, impervious to water and heat,
but importantly they are breakable when dry.

Your questions answered
What products are Aromacore fragrances suitable for?
Aromacore is, at present, suitable for laundry care products including
fabric softeners and laundry liquids.
Can I use ‘only’ the Aromacore fragrance in my product?
Yes, however for optimum wet and dry fabric performance,
we recommend using an Aromacore fragrance combined with
a suitable CPL liquid fragrance.
How long will Aromacore remain stable in fabric softeners and
laundry liquids?
When stored at an optimum 20ºC ambient temperature,
Aromacore should remain stable and perform for at least two years.
Is Aromacore suitable for use in tumble-drying?
Yes, we recommend Aromacore for use in both domestic and
commercial tumble-dryers, producing excellent results in both.
Will ironing effect subsequent dry fabric fragrance release?
There are millions of capsules deposited on each garment and although
some will be broken and released during ironing, there will be sufficient
unbroken capsules to ensure long lasting, fragrance performance with
subsequent ‘in-use’ friction.
What is the shelf-life of Aromacore fragrances?
Aromacore fragrances have excellent shelf-life parameters, just like
other conventional fragrances – approximately 12 months at ambient
temperatures.
Are there any special ‘in-use’ instructions for Aromacore fragrances?
For best results we recommend always stirring Aromacore fragrances
before use, to overcome any separation over time.
