She attended St. Francis de Sales elementary school and Christ the King High School. She played basketball all 4 years at Christ the King where she was an All American. She continued her career at Boston College with a full 4 year athletic scholarship, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After college, Claire played professional basketball for Lisbon Portugal. Due to a foot injury, playing the game of basketball came to an end. Her coach career began at then collegiate level at UMass Boston, Vanderbilt University and St. Johns University. Claire has returned to her Alma Mata and is currently in her second season of coaching at Christ the King High School. Our goal at the Royals Basketball Camp is to bring together young players from all over the area in an environment that will teach them the skills of the game as an individual and stressing the idea of being part of a team. We are also interested in teaching them the importance of sportsmanship. Keeping in mind that everybody plays to win but one must be prepared if the outcome is a loss. Players are divided up by age and skill level and put into different leagues. Each league will have many teams within it. Players will be placed on a team of no fewer than eight and no more then ten campers and will compete against teams within their own league. All campers play an equal amount of game time. The Christ the King Girls and Boys Basketball Programs are recognized for their many championship seasons and a win loss record that is second to none.
