WHAT IS LBL?
PROGRESSIVE APPROACH
Legarza Basketball League is a developmental league
that focuses on learning while doing for boys & girls
in grades 3 & 4. It is a fun & semi-competitive
approach where scoring is introduced but not placed
ahead of the overall development of the child.
- Age appropriate equipment
- 6.5’, 8’ or 9-10’ Baskets | 26.5 & 28.5 Junior Balls
- Progressive Building Block Curriculum
- Leagues feature both practice and game times
- Smart Start: 30-min practice | 30-min game
- LBL: 20-min practice | 40-min game
- Developmental Rules & Gameplay

on personal development and takes into account age
and skill differences.

The Legarza Basketball Smart Start Pre-League
is a fun, co-educational, non-competitive and
professional introduction to the game of basketball
for boys & girls in Pre-K - 2nd grade.
