Notes: Came to Sweden (Stockholm) in ’09, Swedish citizen in June ’12, cleared by the IAAF to compete for Sweden in
December ’12 ... First ever 1500m Sollentuna (SWE) 1 July ’10 a comfortable win in 4:06 ... First indoor season (’11) consisted of four 1500m races within just 12 days: On all occasions left the opponents in second half to win unopposed (margins between 1.89 and 3.62 seconds) ... Injury problems following summer, returned in full force in May ‘12 with PB 3:59
for 2nd place in Shanghai Diamond League ... Ran six out seven ’12 DL 1500m-races collecting three 1st, one 2nd and
two 3rd places to take the overall title ... In ’12 Olympics after winning heat and semi with ease unlucky in final as a runner fell immediately in front of her at the bell. Barely avoided falling herself but lost momentum and the contact with the
runners at the front. Did narrow the gap somewhat but was unable to really challenge for a medal despite finishing just
0.80 behind winner ... Opened her ’13 at XL-galan (Stockholm) on 21 February “with a bang” running 3:58.40, the 2nd
fastest ever just 12 hundredths off the WIR ... With her relaxed, smooth long stride thrives off fast even paces: In
Stockholm race 100m-sections were consistently reeled off in 16.2 +/- a couple of tenths before speeding up to sub-15 for
the last two ... At ’13 European Indoors won the 1500m by a whopping and in modern athletics unmatched 9.72 seconds
... Outdoors this summer a perfect record of victories in her five DL-appearances.

Notes: First year in athletics at age 14 did 1.71 in HJ and 25.52 at 200m ... Just like Kajsa Bergqvist and Carolina Klüft
began international career by winning the HJ at the European Youth Olympics ... After Helsinki bronze in ’05 displayed
great versatility by successfully venturing into also sprinting (7.42i/11.58/23.02) and horizontal jumping (6.41/13.69i) ...
However, from '07 onwards back to concentrating on the HJ ... When raising PB to 2.01 for silver in the ’10 ECh became
second Swede to clear 2 meters ... Married coach Yannick Tregaro 12 March ’11 ... Has reached the final in 9 (!) out of 9
straight international championships outdoors (’05-’12) ... Has competed in 19 DL-competitions (’10-’13), always finishing
in top-8, in top-4 on 11 occasions including one win (’11 New York) ... In ’13 DL 2-4-2-4-4.

Notes: In ’11 NCh 400m final shocked everyone by lowering PB by 1.76 to 51.58 in the process eradicating the NR that
had stood for 25 years ... At Swedish Sports Awards Gala in January ’12 received the “Newcomer of the Year”-award (all
sports considered) for ’11 ... At ’12 World Indoors claimed also the NIR which like the outdoor NR had stood since ’86 ...
At ’12 European Ch despite non-conducive weather lowered NR in both semi and final to grab an unexpected gold medal
... At ’13 European Indoors improved the NIR further to claim the bronze.

winter ... The ’13 European Indoors a month before turning 27 was her debut at a senior championship ... There surprised
everybody by hitting 6.61 (overall PB by 13 cm) in the qualification to reach the final ... In the final improved another 10
cm to grab a completely unforeseen bronze ... Has outdoors this summer confirmed the “Erica 2.0” by producing five

Notes: Has lived in Sweden for just about his whole life as he was only a few weeks old when family moved from Gambia
in early '82 ... Thus never competed in or for Gambia ... Grew up in same neighbourhood as Christian Olsson, Yannick
Tregaro and Patrik Kristiansson in the Göteborg suburb of Angered ... '95 WCh in hometown Göteborg made great impact
on the 13 years old. Decided after seeing Sergey Bubka in action that Pole Vault was the sport to pursue ... Won final
major meet before '05 WCh – the IAAF Super GP "DN Galan" - defeating i.a. 5 of would-be Helsinki top-7 but still
couldn't be entered into the WCh due to not having made the then A-standard of 5.75 ... When getting the chance in the
'06 WICh immediately proved himself by taking the silver ... Often hampered by hamstring problems (especially during
summer of '06 and winter and summer of '07) ... Missed '10 due to foot injury sustained when landing outside of the pit
during training.

Notes: Runner-up in ’05 US Collegiate (NCAA) Championships ... Highly consistent: Yearly best within 53 cm (74.23 74.85) for ’09-’11 and in ‘12 had 6 more meet within 127 cm of his then PB ... 6th in ’12 World Hammar Challenge ...
Controversially left off the ’12 Swedish Olympic team by the NOC due to being considered not meeting their criteria of
having a realistic chance to compete for a top-8 position in London ... With his 23.18 WT this past winter surpassed unofficial NIR that had stood for almost to the day a quarter of a century (Tore Gustafsson 23.08 in ‘88).

Notes: At age 18 still focussing on junior championships got a wild card entry to ’13
European Indoors and took full advantage of the opportunity given by scoring 3 overall PB’s
and another 2 indoor PB’s ... Total of 4.531 gave sensational 5th place ... Even more astonishing: Missed Carolina Klüfts 11 years old WJIR by a mere four points ... After missing out
of a medal by just 28 points at ’12 World Juniors got the silver at ’13 European Juniors after
another PB-filled series.

Notes: Moved with family from Somalia to Sweden at age 11 ... Originally preferred football (soccer) but at age 16 was
finally persuaded to take up running ... With 8:05.75 in '07 erased the Olympic Gold winning and World Record time of
8:08.02 set by Anders Gärderud 31 years (to the day!) earlier from the list of Swedish national records - and missed the
European record by a mere 0.80 ... Confirmed new level with 8:07.83 ten days later ... ’04-‘09 in six straight Steeplechase
finals: 2 OG's, 3 WCh's (in ’07 just missing the podium) and 1 ECh ...’06-’08 on the podium for three straight European
XC Championships ... After ’10 switched focus from steeplechasing to road running ... In April ’12 ran a 2:12 with negative splits in first serious attempt at marathon ... However, Swedish NOC didn’t consider that sufficient to earn him selection for ’12 Olympics.

Notes: 14.79 at age 16 in first ever race over senior hurdles, next year ran 13.63 ... In prestigeous match vs Finland in '04
handed Robert Kronberg his first loss to a fellow Swedish hurdler in seven years ... In '09 stopped Kronberg's national outdoor titles streak at 12 ... After success as junior had progress halted by a sequence of injuries ... No hurdles race at all for
almost three years (between 21 June '06 and 14 June '09) ... At ’12 ECh finally lowered (by 0.03) PB set almost 9 years
earlier at ’03 EU23Ch.

First cousin Ritchie Moba (b ’90): LJ: 7.18/7.33w/7.25i ’12.
Notes: On 27 June ‘09 became the 3rd Swedish long jumper ever to surpass 8 metres in legal wind conditions when jumping 8.11 ... On 21 July ’12 in Kuortane with 8.22 finally surpassed the NR that had stood for 16 years ... On 21 February
’13 in Stockholm tied the NIR that had stood for 18 years ... On 3 March ’13 added another 8 cm to the record to take
silver at European Indoors ... So far not the luckiest when it comes to narrow international medal decisions: At ’05
European Juniors 4th with the same mark as the bronze medalist, at ’12 Europeans 3rd just 4 cm from the silver, at ’12
Olympics 4th with 1 cm to the bronze and 5 cm to the silver, at ’13 European Indoors 2nd just 2 cm from the gold ...
Current number of 8m+ competitions is 24 (13 legal outdoors, 5 wind-aided and 6 indoors).

Notes: US Collegiate (NCAA) champion in '04 & '05 ... When winning
in '04 improved PB from 73.98 to 77.62 in qualification and further to
80.71 in the final ... In the '09 edition of the prestigeous match vs
Finland was leading going into the final round and only one of the three
Finnish throwers managed to – barely – pass and grab the win ... At ’11
European Team Ch broke seven year old PB surpassing 80m in three out
of four throws ... Further PB improvements in ’12 and ’13 ... Due to persistent back problems competed sparingly through most of his career ...
Current number of 80+ meets is 6.

Tidsprogram med svenska deltagare
Nedanstående sammanställning redovisar det av Internationella Friidrottsförbundet fastställda ”slutliga” tidsprogrammet,
angivet i svenska tider.
