ANYTOWN Summer Residential Program
5day, 4night residential conference for teens that gives them a
framework for having hard conversations with people who don’t look like
them and an understanding of why that’s important. Pinellas County
students receive 1/2 of a social studies credit for ANYTOWN completion. ANYTOWN Year-Round:
Facilitating the Leadership of Youth (FLY)
A youth empowerment group dedicated to elevating youth voice in
addressing issues affecting young people in our community. Students
complete servicelearning projects, and service hours are provided. "I had always thought of
myself as a person who was
well-developed in
understanding discrimination
and how to end it. I have
grown so much this past
week. This has been an eyeopening experience."
- Hannah, 2015 ANYTOWN
graduate
ANYTOWN Year-Round: Be Intentional Institutes
Continuing education sessions for ANYTOWN residential graduates, which
are organized around opportunities to SOCIALize with peers, build new
SKILLS and receive SERVICE hours. Youth-Adult Partnerships Volunteer Engagement
Prepares youth and young adults for success as inclusive leaders.
Training for volunteers includes 30 hours of development in four
fundamental benchmarks of cultural agility that help our volunteers
provide topnotch service to CTB and also contribute to their professional
and leadership development.
"Thank you so much for
this excellent opportunity.
We need to have more of
these conversations."
- George, 2015

Youth Leadership Conferences
Oneday mini ANYTOWN sessions giving middle and highschool aged
students the opportunity to begin experiencing meaningful crosscultural
interactions and dialogue. These skills are the foundation for students to
become inclusive leaders. Professional Education: Cultural Competence
Training
Customized training that empowers leaders and employees in youth and
youngadult serving institutions (including schools, colleges, universities
and nonprofit organizations) to leverage inclusion to create high
performing teams that effectively serve their diverse communities.
"This conference provided
an open, genuine, accepting,
empathetic environment
where people were listened
to. Usually, kids' views aren't
taken into consideration
because we are just kids.
Here, our problems,
thoughts, ideas were
accepted." - 2015 Youth
Conference participant
