band Simple Plan is set for their
Southeast Asian tour this September.
This tour is in support and celebration
of their fifth studio album, TAKING ONE
FOR THE TEAM, which was released on
the 19th of February, 2016. The last time
the quintet visited Southeast Asia was
four years ago, during their “Get Your
Heart On! Tour”. We’re excited to have
them back! Made up of Pierre Bouvier
(vocals), Chuck Comeau (drums), David
Desrosiers
(bass,
backing
vocals),
Sébastien
Lefebvre
(rhythm
guitar,
backing vocals), and Jeff Stinco (lead
guitar), Simple Plan is known for their
popular hits “Welcome to My Life”,

At 68, Lam is still a bundle of energy and
charisma. Lam kick-started his anniversary
tour at the Hong Kong Coliseum, selling
out all four nights. Lam is always an
excellent judge of what his audiences want
to hear. In his concert, he sang several of
his hits but he didn‟t just ride the
nostalgia train but instead, he used
different arrangements for his past hits
to give audience new connotations. Lam
also shared his emotional moments during
the concert with his audience which made
the entire experience more like a gathering
of old friends. Lam revealed, “A live
concert is one of my favourite parts
because of all the electricity generated in
the crowd and onstage.”

If you are a fan of talk shows, this is one you
mustn't miss. Bob's Up Genting 2016 Talk Show
is a “sequel” to last year's very successful talk
show, Bob's Up in Hong Kong. Last year's event
saw him playing to a full house—audience
turnout was that good. This year, we can expect
more of the same. Being funny is something that
is second nature to Bob, and his good sense of
humour is evident whether he plays emcee at a
function or takes on a role in a film. Comedy is
his forte and he never fails to impress fans and
critics alike.

PUBLIKA SHOPPING MALL
Publika is an upscale neighbourhood shopping mall located in Solaris Dutamas,
Sri Hartamas, a sprawling up-and-coming residential development. Aimed at
young expatriate clienteles, the creative and artsy complex has a number of
high-end clothing boutiques, novelty stores and food and beverage venues.
The mall also plays host to a variety of entertainment offerings such as art
galleries (like Galeri Chandan and Segaris Art Centre on the fourth floor), a
park, several spas (such as Hammam Spa on the fourth floor) and more.
ENTERTAINMENT
Publika routinely organises events to draw in a crowd or even to raise
awareness on certain issues like the annual Publika Earth Hour, when the mall
has a variety of booths set up at The Square encouraging visitors to adopt
greener lifestyle habits.
Additionally, on the second and fourth Saturday of every month (from 17:30
onwards) The Square is transformed into a fun-filled area with the Publika
Drum Circle, a song and dance event arranged by the KL Street Drummers:
visitors are invited to bring their own instrument and beat out a tune with
others
Publika is celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival on 15th September 2016
together with you! sign your kids up for the lantern making workshop at the
Publika Mid-Autumn Festival while you mill about the mini bazaar or catch the
live dragon dance. Of course, the celebration won’t be complete without the
mandatory walk with lit lanterns, which will be held from 7.30pm to 9pm.

The 18th edition of the 2016 FORMULA 1 PETRONAS MALAYSIA GRAND PRIX is
held from 30 September to 2 October 2016, the first time it has been moved in
the F1 calendar for many years. Coming right after the Singapore F1 Grand
Prix, the race offers a unique double F1 treat in Southeast Asia. With an
exciting cluster of events throughout the race week, including a demo run,
auto carnival, fan engagement programmes with the drivers, and a spectacular
post-race concert, the newly redefined F1 is not to be missed! Families looking
forward to soak up the thrills at Sepang can enjoy an improved family-friendly
activities at the circuit with the ever popular X-track returning on popular
demand, showcasing motorsports-themed thrills such as drifting, rallying,
go-karting, ATV rides and more, for fans of all ages.

Twinings, the world-famous English tea company celebrated its 310 years of
expertise at the iconic Orchid Conservatory of The Majestic Hotel Kuala
Lumpur. Stephen Twining, tenth generation member and brand ambassador of the
Twining family, introduced eight (8) flavours of the namesake brand’s
Large-Leaf Discovery Collection at an Afternoon Tea at The Majestic Hotel to
herald in their latest milestone.
The elegant ambience of the Orchid Room complemented by the regal grandeur
of the hotel, provided a pleasant environment for Stephen to showcase a
personal preparation of the perfect cup of tea. He demonstrated meticulous
attention towards the brewing process, from quantity of tea leaves to water
temperature and steeping duration. The assortment of teas were paired with
tiers of confectioneries, with Stephen highlighting how each tier complements
each serving of tea.
