HOMESCHOOLING PROGRAMS AGES 5-7 WINTER 2016 SESSION DATES: February 2016 to May 2016 summitkids.ca/home-school WELCOME TO SK4U FOR HOMESCHOOLERS Calling all homeschoolers! – Welcome to the world of programming…. Summit Kids offers exclusive SummitU courses and physical education classes especially geared towards Homeschooled children and the children that are un-schooled. We offer flexibility of options to keep your children safe through educational courses and physically active through our lively and fun gym classes. Phys Ed (gym) classes provide an opportunity for children to learn important physical skills, develop a routine of daily physical activity, and socialize with other students while in a fun and educational environment. We give families who homeschool their children the opportunity to experience a gym class like they would experience in public schools. Through fitness exercises such as fitness testing, yoga, cross-country running, and fitness circuitsstudents will learn their limits and see improvements. The students are also exposed to a variety of sports, are taught the rules and skills through drills and games played. These organized sports (eg: basketball, soccer, rugby, dance, etc.) teach students the importance of teamwork while getting to experience many different sports. Your children will learn important lessons about staying physically active and have a blast while doing it! SummitU offers a variety of child education safety courses that were created by KidProof Canada. Kidproof Safety is a world class education publisher that creates exclusive safety curriculum and custom prevention solutions to reduce harm and protect kids around the world. Now more than ever, the need for current, effective and consistent safety education has never been stronger. Children need to learn critical thinking skills, problem solving skills and the ability to make safe choices in potentially unsafe situation. Kidproof safety programs are a fundamental need for children and families alike. But what makes us even more special, is that our programs are never scary, and always non-threatening, empowering and entertaining.
