Award at Taste of Blount
Twenty Blount County restaurants, bakeries and stores offered more
than 75 samples of their dishes and drinks at the 12th annual Taste of

Presented by the Blount Partnership and city of Maryville, the event

The Royal Hounds played music as patrons ate, drank and socialized
during the pleasant evening.
They also voted for their favorite dishes.
Rocky’s Jamaica Sunrise won Best Overall with jerk chicken, jerk
pork, baked beans, red beans and rice, and baked mac and cheese.

The Blount Tourism Ambassador
Program is a multi-faceted program
that serves to increase tourism by
inspiring front-line employees and volunteers to turn every visitor
encounter into a positive experience. When visitors have a positive experience they are more likely to return in the future and also share their
experience with others. Everyone benefits – the visitor, the industry, the
local economy, and most importantly, the front-line worker.
This program is FREE and requires only one class to become a Certified
Tourism Ambassador™!
